Hardly any paragon of loyalty and true blue. He bought and paid for that nomination.

As opposed to Christine O'Donnell, who ran against the GOP when she didn't get the nomination. In other words, one reason she can't attack Mike Castle on this point (the way some FReepers would like) is that she did the same thing back in 2006--promise support to the GOP candidate until someone else got it.

Another reason is, of course, that nearly half of Republicans voted against her in the primary, so she needs a lot of the Castle supporters--both GOP and Dem.

Rather than focusing on Mike Castle or Christine O'Donnell, what conservatives need to do is focus on the Joneses...by educating and converting their neighbors, we will have a conservative electorate looking for conservative representation. That's better than trying to push for conservative representation for a liberal populace.

It’s interesting to note that Christine O’Donnell is running about even with men, but is FAR behind among likely-voting women. I’m wondering if some of that “looking for a male leader” could be overcome by the “liking the hot babe” factor.

Coons was terrible and O’Donnell walked all over him. She slapped him down hard with the Marxist charge. She had him rattled. She also had the CNN propagandists on edge. They kept intervening to save Coons ass.

Don't believe opensecrets.org regarding Christine O'Donnell's money. I'm not basing that on how she's received multiple citations for not submitting her reports on time, but the simple fact that there's a delay from receiving donations to reporting in any case.

Try reading the posts that you choose to respond to, it makes it easier for both of us, and it would help you make sense.

Dental floss... if Delawareans elect Coons, they deserve what they get.

Yeah, and look at the logo for W.L. Gore...

It looks suspiciously like the Speedo one...

"Chris Coons is very nice!"

(Note that there's no relationship that I know of between the two companies...and W. L. Gore & Associates, Inc., probably has to keep that box around the red part and the upper arm longer.)

Men in Delaware are far to the right of the women, for McCain it was 46% support by the men, and 29% of the female vote.

In 2004 Bush won the male vote with 52%, and lost women with a 41% portion.

Her positions aren’t that different from Reagan’s, yet Reagan was elected in a landslide,

Not in 1980 though, not in Delaware, Reagan won the state with 47.21% in 1980.

Overall I thought O’Donnell did very well, too. But my own opinion is biased.

I am not too down on her SC answer. Personally I think people expecting an almost-LAWYER-like answer were getting exactly the kind of Congress we had (close to 50% of them are lawyers), way too lopsided representation if you ask me.

The theory is that Lawyers are the ‘logical’ choice to write/propose legislations that eventually become laws. Yet that is not what a law degree from law school should be about, law professors and law school should not ‘train’ future politicians. Either that, or we get somebody so bland (no opinions traceable) to go to SCOTUS itself.

We need to dilute the Congress pool with true representation of the people.

I'm challenging you to turn off Faux for one night, and to spend an evening looking through SupremeCourt.gov and GPOAccess.gov/bills and see what is actually going on in the world. Spend an evening looking this stuff up on your own to see in the SCOTUS' own words, or Congress's own words, what they are doing, without anybody filtering it for you.

I appreciate your advice, but why are you calling it "Faux" news?

Sorry just my opinion...Its my view that anybody that supports abortion does not have the love of God or the Spirit of Christ within them.

Anybody that votes Democrat in any way shape or form, supports abortion, because the Democrat platform supports and even promotes abortion.

Sure they will say they vote D but do not support abortion...THEY CAN NOT HAVE IT BOTH WAYS.

The arguments have been made, people have to stand up and be counted, if they vote D then they do not Love Jesus.

Yes I pray that they invite Jesus into their life, but until then they are on the wrong side of the Lord.

They can go to their phony Churches and wave their arms in the air, but it`s all in vain if they vote Democrat. And it`s not simply abortion either!! When they vote Democrat they are voting in support of teaching children that it`s OK to be homosexual, when they vote D they are saying they want the name of Jesus/God removed from the public square.

The list is long of the evil things I could add.

“What conservatives need to do is focus on the Joneses...” How, exactly? How do conservatives finally and successfully do just that, throughout ALL “politically blue areas” of the U.S.? How about doing that in Nancy Pelosi’s Congressional District as well as throughout all U.S. cities? How about doing that in all areas of the U.S. that have been pro-leftist for more than fifty years and making it, actually, work for conservatism and for the long-term?

I picked up the Faux News thing from other Freepers and it fits. There’s not a lot of substance to their news, especially when they are running the latest sleaze about whatever celebrity did something that day that outraged people. If you have small children around, you have to be very careful not to leave on there, as they don’t have any problem with launching into talking about sleaze. Later on in the day they switch completely off of news and switch over to pundits arguing or talking about this or that.

Nobody needed a lawyer-like answer.

O'Donnell spends a fair amount of time complaining about judges legislating from the bench. She should be able to provide a simple example of judges legislating from the bench if she's going to complain about it, otherwise it comes off as a hollow campaign slogan. Pulling a Nobama and saying she'll post it on her website was silly and having to be rescued by Wolf Blitzer with a 40 year old decision was even sillier.

If she actually gets elected, she could be involved in the Senate confirmation of Supreme Court justices as well, and for somebody with that kind of responsibility, there's no excuse for not being able to come up with a single Supreme Court decision that she disagrees with.

I believe she's into the Tea Party stuff, and Kelo v. New London should have came instantly to mind. Given how much she talks about sexual behavior and morals, Lawrence v. Texas should have came to mind as well.

Perhaps you could give me another of your references about the Nixon/Kennedy voting pattern, since I already stated that I give no credence to Washington Post reports.

I was a Nixon fan, and my schoolmate/friend Barbara Mikulski was devoted to JFK. She has never wavered in her adoration of all things Kennedy.

I find it interesting to see how many are focusing on her single flub of the evening after she hit so many homeruns....

Why don’t you just search for a source that says differently, since that is your claim, there is no dispute about Richard Nixon winning the female vote, and JFK winning the men’s vote.

Your personal opinion, and the fact that you knew a female that liked JFK, means nothing.
