Jon Stewart and Glenn Beck have a few things in common. The liberal and conservative cable hosts each described their respective rallies on the National Mallwhether to "restore honor" or "restore sanity"as nonpolitical events. Neither walks in lockstep with Democrats or Republicans. And both often claim to simply be entertainers, while at the same time never shying away from weighty subjects like the economy and terrorism.

Now the Huffington Post has lined up 212 buses leaving from the Mets Citi Field at 6 a.m. Saturday. (The buses will be equipped with snacks and drinks donated by Pom Wonderful, Stonyfield Yogurt and Coca-Cola.)

We were too poor to buy Coke. But when we did get a soft drink, it was usually orange or grape Nehi. Good stuff. I may just start drinking Chrystal Light. Its healthier. I have 7 bottles of Coke left of an 8 pack. Any suggestions about what to do with them? LOL
Still on hold.
Just finished speaking with a woman at Coca-Cola. I had to explain the situation and quoted the article to her. She took my contact info and complaint.
she either played dumb or is clueless.
I’ve just told her that I and my family will be banning their product, that a e-mail has gone viral about this and that she will be getting many calls telling her that a boycott will be happening.
she said she will pass my comments on but did seem concerned.
Hope all of you have called too instead of just thinking others will do the calling because you can bet your house that the left are calling there too.
It’s high time we did what the left has been doing for years and that is getting off asses and making calls.
Drink Iced Tea, it is better for you, omit the sugar & no calories, plus tea is an anti-oxident!!!
Yep its still around. Available at WalMart. RC cola and a Moon Pie. Remember that? LOL
they never took my info but said that will pass my comments on.
However I will be calling later .
If they get a 100 calls within the next 10 mins then our message will get through to them otherwise 3 yours, mine and Becky’s calls will do nothing

No Coke...Pepsi, Pepsi, Pepsi...Burger, Burger, Burger
Cable tv used to not engage in such shenanigans. While technically they are outside of the reach of the FCC, they never wanted to give the FCC a case to prosecute cable violations of the equal time provisions of election coverage.
Recall the governor’s race when Ahnold movies could not air on cable tv.
Comedy Central and MTV are both owned by Viacom, parent corp to SeeBS News.
I called. Coke rep was courteous, but didn’t seem to know anything about Coke products and the Rally. I explained. She seemed supremely bored. I think her last job must have been as a 911 dispatcher.
On hold now 2:12 CDST

Im at work or i would do it now. Ping for later though. Too bad I do enjoy coke products. Pepsi is sweeter though.

The Mr was a loyal Pepsi drinker, hated Coke, until Pepsi went Obama...

OK. Finally got to talk to someone. I told her I wish they hadn’t gotten involved in politics with the sponsering of the Stewart Rally in DC. She asked what that was. Played dumb. I told her about it. She said she would have to check it out. I told her I would not be buying anymore of their products and would ask my friends, neighbors and family not to buy their products. I told her this was going viral on the internet and that about 60% of their customers were conservative and we were going to call for a boycott of Coke and Coke products. She took my info and asked when was the best time to reach me. She said she would pass on the info and thanked me for calling. Now lets get out there and do some damage their pocketbooks!
I’m on hold with coke as well. They must be flooded with calls.
Pretty hard to do anything with a clean heart anymore - just gotta go with the products you like and forget all the rest (to a point).
All of these businesses are just looking to maximize their market share - can you blame them? It’s just kind of ironic that the free enterprisers are targeting marxists, but they probably made the calculation that its not going to be provocative enough as to tarnish their brand...while still giving plenty of visibility to all of those eyeballs. If they had officially called this a communist rally, which it ostensibly is, chances are good Coke would have stayed away.
