Take a gander at the provocative "tribute" to Veterans day on Google. Then never go there again.
The crescent does look to be intentional. There would have been about 30 different ways to utilize the ‘L’ to make a flag pole without it having this appearance.
At least they didn’t ignore a patriotic holiday for the first time in my memory. Too bad some leftie graphic designer decided to do this.
Maybe that's for after they self-detonate their way to Allah. ;^)
I think it’s just a poor design. Doubt it’s anything more than that.
Yep. 50% of the posters on this thread obviously hadn't looked at Google's doodles before, otherwise they'd know that drawn objects often substitute for letters in the name, and parts of the name are sometimes obscured.
The level of tin-foil on this thread is embarrassing -- times like this, I'm glad we use handles. I feel bad for Jim Robinson Thompson. :)
When there are rainbows, do you get pissed that nature is promoting homosexuality???
Blame Free Republic.
LOL............ Yep it’s always easy to lay blame on someone or something else rather than owning up.
LOL
Take a look at BING they have the vietnam wall on their home page. I left google long time ago.
Sorry... not offended by the U.S. flag in front of the letter “e.”
This whole thread is embarrassing and should be wiped clean. Imagine the fun DU could have with the level of stress on display here over something so trivial?
LOL You didn’t read that is search for it and it didn’t come up? I’ll own up when I do something to own up to.
I hope you’re joking. If not- please tell me so I can laugh even harder at you.
Nothing's provocative. It's pretty good, actually.
Some guys just have to yell about stuff.
ROFL! See, John, comments like that are why FR needs a "like" button....
I’m familiar with their designs, and I, too, noticed the crescent shape formed from the “e.” Understanding Google’s leftward slant, and how many years they have simply ignored Veterans Day altogether, there’s a place where they can stick their logo, but I won’t mention that here.
You didnt read that is search for it and it didnt come up?
Yep it most likely will never come up when used as a single word search term...
Search using one word ..Goggle.. and either searching for Keywords or Titles will bring up threads about the Google logo for Veterans Day.
Don’t blame FreeRepublic as it isn’t FR’s fault........
I did search on Google. The latest story that came up was the one about bonuses. The next one was several days old.
I blocked all Google IP addresses (including YouTube) with my firewall. I suggest you do the same. Trust me, you will not miss much.
JoMa
It’s the letter “e” covered up by the American colors.
I swear, so many people are quick to find offense, it ceases to be funny.
While I have various reasons for not liking Google, I think this is a matter of working overtime to be offended. I bet we’d have a field day with you if we devoted a thread to what you see in Rorschach inkblots.
