DENVER (AP) -- Police are investigating whether the author of a guide for pedophiles did anything illegal even as they try to protect him from a threat posted on a local website.
Phillip Ray Greaves II of Pueblo has drawn national attention because his self-published book for sale on Amazon offers advice to pedophiles on how to make a sexual encounter with a child as safe as possible.

Creepy pedophiles are not entitled to any more vigorous protection than a girl with a creepy ex boyfriend recieves.
Let him have a document on file at the police station.
Be reasonable! Let him carry a copy of the restraining order as well...

just because he wrote a book about pedophilia doesn’t make him a pedophile, any more than writing a book about murder makes one a murderer.

I agree camle, the hysteria is getting out of control and getting dangerous for normal people and especially fathers. “It’s for the children” is the refrain anti privacy forces are using to get government regulation of encryption. The encryption battle is being re fought by Obama.

More about the author of the how-to manual for pedophiles. Apparently the scum now needs police protection since normal people are outraged that such scum lives in their midst. I find it quite disturbing that people on this thread, and the other thread about this book, actually defend his right to publish a book helping pedophiles be pedophiles. Such moral blindness shows the incredible disintegration of human civilization. A civilized society does not permit children to be violated, nor child-violators to continue their crimes, nor books about how to violate children be distributed.
Disgust and outrage about a how-to manual for pedophiles is not hysteria, nor is it out of control.
Pedophiles should be executed, and anyone trying to promote, enourage or teach pedophiles how to commit their crimes should also receive severe punishment. The fact that a few people on FR support this crap is disgusting.

If my child was that age again and the sob made contact with him and I found it out, I would give him a safe trip to the next world.
I’ve seen the damage caused by these monsters and have little tolerance for their “free speech rights”.

I don’t understand how someone can be prosecuted for visiting an online site with revealing photos of underaged children, yet this pervert can publish a “how-to” book on pedophilia with no consequences.

This is next. Pedophilia is a sexual orientation just like adult homosexuality is a sexual orientation. The homo activists are not talking dirty to the kids in schools for nothing.
I know. Most of the time it effectively ruins the life of the victim. Some recover. Most do not.
Several years ago I was in a class where they were discussing treatment for pedolhiles. When I opined that the only treatment I would give them was a .45 between the eyes, I was severely chastized.
