If this is what Janet Napolitano wants, it's what she should receive.
Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano on Monday vehemently defended her department's use of advanced imaging technologies and pat-downs at U.S. airports, saying to do otherwise would be "irresponsible" and that passengers who don't like it can "travel by some other means."
Works for me.
THIS IS A NATIONAL BOYCOTT CALL....

I’m not flying anywhere. I’ve never been a big flyer — maybe 4-6 flights a year. But no more.
Forget that - fly general aviation. Small airports, no lines. No scanners, no TSA.
I’d love to take part in this, but I’m flying home on Saturday for the holiday.
I’ve found that the smaller the airport, the nicer the TSA people.
Exceptions? Yup. Orlando and Boston. Orlando moves people through those checkpoints with superb speed. The guys in Boston are(US Airways)all cheerful and polite. THAT always surprises me.
I think we should boycott ‘Big Sis” as well. She speaks as though she just got hit over the head with a 2X4.
I fly once or twice a year and I’m not going to fly any more than I have to. Unfortunately I have to travel long distances in short periods of time for my work, so I don’t have much choice.
God Bless the interstate highway system.
I made up my mind weeks ago... no scanning, no groping no flying for me! F’em!
I’ve had it with this bunch in DC.
Thanks!
Soon they’ll start requiring travel permits. Either for global warming or for our safety.
Given that CAIR has advised Islamic women to demand that they be patted only from the neck UP, I think every single flyer, either gender, should start wearing one and demand the same right. Demand that CAIR defend them also if TSA makes a fuss.
Maybe I am missing something here, but does not a boycott of the airline industry harm their bottom line and an economy already stuggling? I doubt the average TSA employee would care except to the extent they would be less busy. I rarely fly and dread it when I have to...usually tow a small travel trailer for both business and pleasure trips.
Eventually, the only people flying will be muslims.
Well, if Obama doesn't leave office first.
Glad to see others joining me in a boycott I’ve been enjoying for a number of years now.
After taking the train last year to NY from Richmond I’m sold! It took a total of 6 hours with no TSA BS. A snack car, polite conductors, smooth travel. I figure with travel to and from an airport, the TSA and flight delays I came out even or ahead in time!
Haven’t flown since 2006
In 1996 the Gore-chaired aviation safety commission was used to blackmail the aviation companies into donating. In all, the airlines gave the Democratic Party $585,000 in the elections closing weeks.
Proposed were vulnerability assessments at every commercial airport in the country, increased numbers of bomb-sniffing dogs, better screening and training of the workers who examined bags.
I will never set foot in another airport until all the TSA goons are back on welfare where they came from.
I hear ya. Two years ago, my wife and I were flying to toronto for her business meeting. We drove 2.5 hours to the Phila airport. They wanted to kick me off the plane because the plane was overweight, and I was the last one to board. We were two hours late taking off, both ways. The flight was an hour and a quarter, but it took us nine hours, each way, door to door. I could have driven it in that amount of time, and next time, I will.
Instead of fighting the war on terror agressively, as if we want to win it, by killing the terrorists where they live, we are letting them besiege us.
Until our government relearns how to win a war, don’t fly unless you have to. I have an overseas flight coming up, that I scheduled early this year. It’ll be my last flight.
Of course. If traffic decreased by 50%, not a single TSA employee would be laid off, or even temporarily furloughed. They'd just be on paid break six or seven hours a day. They'd sit in the TSA office area and watch CNN or ESPN on the big screen. Or big screens, at most airports.
