I’m not looking for perfection. I was addressing what I think is a major obstacle she would need to overcome to get elected president.

Well, every candidate will have some type of obstacle to overcome. That seems pretty minor to me considering the circumstances, which will be made very clear in a campaign.

So man up, girl, who's your candidate? I could use a laugh about now...

Let me guess, the phony Huckahillbilly? With his dog torturing son and released murderers running around killing people?

Newt?

Pawlenty? *gak* (squish)

Mittens?

Don't be shy, let's have a comparison.

They only have an inferior answer to that question...which is why they usually don’t answer.

Their answer is an admission that we are right and Palin is the best conservative candidate with appeal to win a national campaign.

IMHO, in a perfect world, the next White House would be:

President Chris Christie
Vice President Mitch McDonell
Chief of Staff Sarah Palin
DHS Secretary Bobby Jindal
Secretary of Defense General Petraeus
Secretary of Treasury Mitt Romney
Secretary of State Rudy Giuliani
Secretary of Health Ron Paul

I agree on your Romeny points. But the fact is, at the moment, Romney has the GOP establishment wrapped around his finger.

And furthermore, as we saw in 2008, if Romney is not on the ticket he will (via his surrogates) work to undermine any GOP ticket he is not on.

Romney, imho, is a politician that wants it bad, and will do whatever it takes to get it. This may be a case where you keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.

Bush Sr., btw, was not a moderate imho. He was a keynsian (sp?) in his economics (who ran as a a supply-sider in 1988, then promplty went back to being a keynsian), and did nothing about social issues (abortion particularly) one way or another. His one “conservative” strength was defense.

As a package, he was not that different than Richard Nixon (minus the corruption). Both keynsians on economics, both cared little for social issues or domestic policys, both strong on defense.

Bush allowed a lot of federal power grabs (like the Americans with Disalities Act and broad expansion of the Endarngerd Species Act) on his watch. He was clearly in the “govt. is the solution” camp on far too many problems.

That, and the fact that independents won’t vote for her.

*donning flame suit*

Addendum: She has dramatically improved her popularity rating...so by 2012, who knows? That said, DeMint’s probably my #1 for 2012 now.

“I think Perry will be the Palin-sanctioned candidate for POTUS.”

I agree. Either it will go that way or it will be Palin/Perry. Regardless, Perry will be in the WH in 2013.

1980, 1980, 1980!

That is really the only response needed to this statement.

I have to disagree with you about Obama running for a second term. There is no way Soros will allow him to bow out and remember he owns the Democratic party.

I'd put money on it.

So, if you were Sarah Palin and had $500k in legal bills (defending charges like you wore a jacket with an Arctic Cat logo to the finish of the Iron Dog Race), were in a position to lose your house and watching both your political career and the country being destroyed; what would you have done?

One of the main reasons that Obama will run for a second term is the campaign can start early and he likes campaigning. He doesn’t like doing the day to day job of President — only the vacations and teleprompter theater.

By running he gets to ignore his office for the last year of this term.

Where does she stand on illegal immigration? I haven’t read anything that says she supports a wall or deportation. Just wondering.

Chris Christie is pro-amnesty and weak on the second amendment. He's great for New Jersey, but the United states is not New Jersey,

Why would you recommend Rudy Giuliani for Secretary of State when he has spent the majority of his life in the legal/law enforcement field and has no international experience?

Who is Mitch McDonnell? Surely you don't mean Mitch McConnell?

If you read her open letter to the incoming Republicans, she is advocating closing the borders before any other decisions are made. After that, I don't believe she has articulated a position.

She supports a wall and militarizing the border with as many troops that is needed to get the job done. If you watched the first episode of Sarah Palin’s Alaska the other night, right at the first 10 minutes they do a expose on the stalking neighbor next door who moved in to write a hit piece on Sarah and Todd was forced to build a extention of the fence between their homes and that it would make the fence 14ft high so the man couldn’t see in and intrude. Palin looked at the camera and said “Thats what we need to do on the border”.....lol

She supports closing the border and some kind of registration before a path to citizenship.

Where is that letter, I like to see her comments?

Did a search and see that she is for path to citizenship. So she doesn’t seem to favor arrest and deport. Too bad.

I did watch the show and took her comment about the border as a tongue in cheek joke.

She did on Greta’s show a few months ago when she appeared with and without McCain.
