"This will be a disaster for the show if Bristol wins," one TV insider tells me. "Any creditability the show had will be over. It will go from being a dancing competition to a popularity competition where whoever has the most rabid fan base will always win no matter how little talent they have."

I think the final is all on the Judges.

Don’t see her getting more than third, though she did vastly improve for a non dancer/young person.

>>”It will go from being a dancing competition to a popularity competition where whoever has the most rabid fan base will always win no matter how little talent they have.”<<

What an idiot! ALL viewer-audience vote-selection shows are a popularity competition where whoever has the most rabid fan base will always win no matter how little talent they have.

To pretend otherwise is to mean this “insider” knows nothing about TV.

The show has ALWAYS been part popularity contest.

They allow the viewers at home to choose the winner.

LOL idiots on the left, has Dancing with the Stars EVER had any credibility..its always been a popularity contest..I never heard anyone make a fuss when Jerry Rice made it to the finals, he could hardly dance at all, made it to the finals..how about Donny Osmond, he stunk, but he made it, I didn’t hear anyone give a damn then

The Title “Insiders: If Bristol Palin Wins, ‘Dancing’ Is Ruined (LOL!!!) “ could easily be “Insiders: If Sarah Palin Wins, ‘America’ is Ruined. The foreshadowing is indeed frightening to liberals and RINOs.
Seriously, DWTS is part popularity contest. What did they expect, that Bristol would be the first to be booted off the contest (hmmm)? If so, the joke is on them. :-)

Emmit Smith won and he certainly was not the best dancer.

I see it's one of those "intellectual" insiders who are always putting down the intellect of the Palins. I'm sure this person has lots of "creditability" of their own.

Allahpundit:Mind you, this is a show whose previous winners include a Playboy playmate and Donny Osmond.
I’ve never seen an episode, but now that the hyperventilating has reached this unfathomable level of stupidity, I feel obliged to phone in a vote on Bristol’s behalf on Monday night. Imagine the melodious screeching from her critics afterwards if she wins. Their tears will taste … increditable.

Haven’t these people ever heard of reverse psychology? I’m gonna vote for her just because they don’t want me to. So there!

Emmit made me smile when I watched him. So does Bristol. Kyle Massey does too. Jennifer Grey doesn’t. Brandy didn’t either. So great dancer or not, I don’t vote on people that don’t appeal to me and evidently others don’t either.

Are they talking about Bristol or Obama?

This is only about ONE thing, who Bristol’s mother is, otherwise they could care less if she won or not. The original point of having Dancing with the stars was taking celebrities who have ZERO dance experience, teaching them how to dance, and whoever danced the best at the end, won. Now you have Jennifer Grey who has been dancing for what, the last 30 years, yet she is allowed to be on the show. I don’t think that is fair at all. How about Kyle Massey, he works for Disney, ABC is owned by Disney, I don’t see the media going nuts over that. Maybe he is only still on the show because of the Disney/ABC connection..still waiting for the media to mention that..yep, still waiting..
Now how about American Idol, the ONLY reason why Adam Lambert made it as far as he did is because of all of the teeny boppers who think being gay is so super cute. All of these shows are a popularity contest, it was NEVER based on actual dancing, if it was, these professional dancers would never be on the show to begin with because they don’t qualify

Memo to the left: this is why allowing any-ole-body to vote can have consequences.

Now you know how we feel about Obama.

The left drags out every crackhead, welfare recipient, college student, criminal, and corpse to vote every two years.

They should just let the judges pick the winners on this show, and they should let responsible, tax-paying Americans vote in elections.
