Experts: Mystery contrail was from Chinese missile - WND Video
WND ^ | 11/20/10 | WND

Although the U.S. Defense Department and North American Aerospace Defense Command have speculated publicly that the unidentified contrail of a projectile soaring into the skies off the California coast – and recorded by a KCBS television crew – came from a jet and posed no security threat to the U.S., several experts are raising provocative and disturbing questions about the government's official response, reports Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin.

Two governmental military experts with extensive experience working with missiles and computer security systems have examined the television video and conclude the mysterious contrail originating some 30 miles off the coast near Los Angeles did not come from a jet – but rather, they say the exhaust and the billowing plume emanated from a single source nozzle of a missile, probably made in China.

They further suggest the missile was fired from a submerged Chinese nuclear submarine off America's coast, and point out that the timing of the alleged Chinese missile shot coincided with an increasing confrontation between the U.S. and China, and was likely meant to send a message to Washington.

Indeed, the Federal Aviation Administration documents that there were no aircraft flying in the area at that time, the night of Nov. 8.

A total cover up by the Obama administration. How many people have already forgotten about this missile launched 35 miles off of the coast of California. Check out this video. This guy hates America and would probably love for something to happen to the USA. All one has to do is look at what he says and does!...

If the missile came from China, and they loaded it with chemicals instead of a nuclear warhead, Obama has already signaled that he will would not respond with a nuclear strike. Obama invites this kind of thing. Idiot.

The new Congress needs to look into this. If it was a missle, tell us. We can handle the truth but lies will get them fired.

Total complete BS. A typical WND BS story.

It was USAirlines/America West flight 808 from Hawaii to Phoenix. There is definitive radar track of it.

The supposed rocket exhaust was a regularly expanding density contrail.

The supposed rocket flame was simple reflection of the setting sun off the polished aluminum of the underside of the a/c, especially the wings. Note that the color temperature is the same as the reflection off the clouds.

After the video stops, hundreds of people reported they watched it continue northeast bound overhead.

The videographer who shot it said in a broadcast interview that he has seen this a number of times.

Multiple airline pilots who fly routinely west TRANSPAC at sunset say it is a routine illusion.

There were hundreds of commercial fishing and pleasure boats in the supposed launch area. The Shuttle is so loud it wakes us up 55 miles from the KSC. Boaters heard and saw nothing.

The geosynchronous orbit DSP satellites would have easily detected the IR of any launch. They are so sensitive, they routinely give false alarms over major POL fires. They saw nothing.

It's BS.... and WND knows it.

Any entity continuing to spread this BS is doing us all a disservice.

PS, even more BS

#1; FAA has supplied copies of the IFR radar track of the A/C.

#2: “Experts” are two lower ranking retired guys with no access to current dats.

Total BS.... and Joe Farrah knows it.

A typical WND BS story

Reminiscent of the days of Ash, Michael Rivero, black helicopters, photos of secret compounds housing scores of white unmarked vans, never used detention camps......the list goes on. LOL!

A friend in NZ is trying to convince me the BP oil rig was taken out by a North Korean mini-sub........

Why would the FAA issue a NOTAM and the navy clear the ships out of an area for a Chinese missile launch?

You say it was traveling “northeast” bound. It appeared to me to be traveling northwest. Either way, when viewed over the ocean off the Los Angeles coast, would that be the normal direction of the flight you specified?

Are you saying there was or was not a a NOTAM and/or Notice to Mariners?

Years ago, I was in the Antelope Valley and saw some sort of rocket launched from Vandenberg, about the same time of day as this. What made that launch so memorable was the direction it was heading, the appearance of traveling from west to east. I can't remember what type of rocket or what the goal was, but the appearance of that video was identical to what I saw that day.

SW to NE.

The illusion makes it look NW bound.

Agreed - another piece from a nut job website that does not do conservatives any favors.

In looking at the flight tracking data, it was IMO probably a UPS MD-11 from Hawaii to Ontario, California. Given its altitude, the plane was still far west of Catalina Island when the video and photos were shot at around 5:15 p.m. to 5:20 p.m. US Air Flight 808 was directly over Catalina shortly after 5:00 p.m. and would have probably been in the vicinity of Palm Springs by that time.

Since the “missile” was heading east, where did it land??

Okay. But, Phoenix is southeast of Los Angeles, not northeast.

BTW, there's much more basis for the Korean mini-sub than there is for this to be a missile (which it's not ~ it's a plane).

The North Koreans SELL mini-subs that could very well penetrate the casual defense perimeter we mount around our Gulf of Mexico oil wells.

All it'd have to do is DROP a plain old gravity bomb to do the job. It'd be away and gone long before any damage was done.

On the other hand, follow-up examination reveals that to be a natural gas related event.

The "missile" story is still an airplane. Ain't no doubt about that ~ and if there's any "conspiracy" involved it circles the questions of why CBS produced two different C&P videos based on the original video. Makes it look like they wanted people to believe there'd been a missile.
