Boehner: GOP will move 'quickly enough' to repeal healthcare law
The Hill ^ | 11-18-10 | Molly K. Hooper

Speaker-designate Rep. John Boehner (R-Ohio) said Republicans will move to repeal the new healthcare law "quickly enough" after they regain House control in January.

Surrounded by the newly elected GOP leadership team for the 112th Congress, Boehner would not speculate on when exactly the bill to undo the president’s signature healthcare overhaul will come up for a vote.

Gonna try to do it, bill will probably sail through House, but bill won’t go anywhere in Rat Senate unless there’s a real cat fight going on between Obama and the rest of Ratdom. In which case the Senate may pass it too but without a supermajority, handing a hot potato to the Bummer.

There is no chance of repealing the bill because we dont have 2/3s of the vote to over ride a veto. If they come back to us with a lame excuse like “we tried” throw them all out. What they can do in the House since all money bills start there is defund the whole mess and take care of most of the problem like that. We will need a majority in the Senate and Republican in the White House to repeal.

It wont go anywhere outside of the House but at least it will be on record. In 2012, if the country is still viable, we can kill it for good with a new president.

Quickly enough? I don’t like the sound of that. It better be the first item on the agenda Boehner!

Here is what the Health Care Law means to me:
I lost my job about 9 months ago (for the second time in 3 years). I have M.S. and am on shots every other day (about $2500++ a month. I just went (was nearly forced) to go on SS disability. It pays only $1277 a month and that does not cover the shots or my other medications I need every day!
I can not get government assistance for medical coverage for 18 months. I can not get health insurance for any sort of reasonable price. My choice is to pay for shots OR pay for food and housing OR pay for health care insurance and other meds. In other words there are NO good options.
I called one of our state reps and ask about the national health care insurance that was supposed to cover those with pre-existing conditions that was supposed to be available. He said he was sorry but there is NO such assistance he knows of. OBAMA LIED!
So they just want me dead or in a long terms care facility when my last batch of Beta Interferon runs out in 7 days. F---ing Dems and Obama!!!!
I told my rep I would come to Washington to attest to all this and he says he will try to remember..... Really I never expected it would be me but it is and it $ucks
Not trying to cry to you or anyone else on FR specifically but the Health Care Bill/LAW does affect a long time freeper so it is closer to home than most know.

Total repeal of Obamacare must be part of EVERY bill the House passes. No exceptions. And they must state repeatedly that repeal of Obamacare is what they were elected to do, it’s what they will do, and that the matter is not negotiable. The consequences of Obama’s vetoes is Obama’s problem, and not the problem of those elected to get that Unconsititional, evil law repealed.

Yeah, that "enough" part jumped out at me, would rather he had just said quickly.

Hopefully, they’ll pass this easily. Even if the Senate doesn’t pass it, it’ll be a beginning.

Yeah. I’ll believe it when I see it.

The GOP still thinks we want ObamaCare repealed and REPLACED!!

We just want it REPEALED and TRASHED!!! Anything else is a problem.

They should do just like we did Clinton with welfare reform that he finally signed on it’s third iteration. Forcing him to continually re-interate his veto will eventually shift the onus onto him along with all the other onuses we’ve piled upon him like Carter’s massive failure of a Presiduncy!!!
