somebody else wants a payday from BP.
I recently visited the Gulf Coast for the specific purpose of eating the sea food. I ate local shrimp and oysters and fish every night and several days for lunch.
It is ok. It is delicious. Don’t believe the crap.
Alabama wild shrimp and Florida gulf shrimp are fabulous
Fixed.
Sounds like scare tactics to me. Why can't the actual results with the name of the website were they were purchased, the scientist that tested them, the detailed results of the test, and the FDA specific recommendations be disclosed in the article?
Can’t be any worse than the shimp packed and sent from China.
Lead, Feces, Mercury, other unidentifed heavy metals, and toxins.
Won’t eat anything labeled from China.
The Romans used to use lead to sweeten wine - it was delicious too. Moral of the story: the way something tastes has very little to do with its healthfulness.
fear and paranoia kill
And cyanide smells great - kind of like marzipan.
I live on the coast and ate a fried oyster po boy Saturday for the first time in months. It was GREAT!
Just got back from the Gulf Coast myself. Ate shrimp and fish every day for 2 weeks. It was absolutely delicious.
Maybe I’m going to die now. Not.
I only eat Gulf shrimp. I’d rather eat oil than the crap (literally) Chinese and Thailand shrimp is grown in!
-And grown in fluoroquinolone and other antibiotics to keep the shrimp alive, while living in sewage.
Not touching it. I'd rather have anthracene. Yes, it is a polyaromatic, and a carcinogen. Just like the ones on your charred barbecued steak. Or cigarette, if that's your thing. Or diesel exhaust. Etc.
Best thing to do is avoid shrimp in restos and if you buy it know where it came from. The crap from asia is almost as bad too.
This is simply asinine. If the shrimp had been exposed to crude oil, there would be "elevated levels" of MANY compounds, not just anthracene.
So scentist would not chow on shrimpos
Anyone asked him if he even like them
Add Taiwan, Vietnam and Indonesia to that list.
Bangladesh shrimp
“fear and paranoia kill”
Over tainted shrimp?
