SAN ANTONIO A Catholic priest charged with sexually assaulting a teenage boy in 2008 in the rural parish where he worked west of here was rearrested last week in Dallas and charged with trying to hire someone to kill his alleged victim. Father John M. Fiala, 52, was in Dallas County Jail on one count of solicitation to commit murder and two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child, officials said. A judge set bail at $700,000.

Very Christ like.
Now if Catholics did what Mormons often do on these kind of scandal-threads, they'd come in and start...
(a) Blasting ad-hominens at you trumandogz for having the "audacity" to post this;
(b) Inevitably, we'd have some RC poster come in here, and like the common Mormon posters, will point out: "Hey, they're hitman-hirers in ALL religions" and other such defenses of criminal perpetrators.
(c) They won't mention or acknowledge the victim.
Pray for the victim in this case.
Every Catholic in Texas should be on the phone with the Diocese.
WWJD
This isn’t that uncommon. People who would rape a minor are often people who would kill one.
I thought Fiala had skipped bond awhile back, so I don’t even know why he could be out on bond. I hope he never sees daylight again.
Dangerous and not a little nuts and desperate. What did he think was going to happen upon asking some neighbor of his to “off” the kid?
Apparently Fiala had lavished his victim with gifts, to include a car, a laptop, and other electronic gear. I am in no way defending this Pervert Priest, but if I was the Parent of a teenager who received a car from a Priest, teacher, neighbor, piano teacher, boy scout leader, etc, I think I’d see it as a red flag. It’s not like a sixteen year old can legally own a car in Texas.
Interesting. Will be doing the same.
Whew, west, not east. Not in Converse, thank God.
Wow, that’s so twisted not even Hollywood could come up with it.
Thank God! That the kid did not get killed. What madness. I never heard one like this one. The devil is on the prowl.
As always, the abused is a TEENAGE BOY. It’s about homosexuality.
Not only that... Fr. Fiala was a member of a religious order - there is no way he should have the money to lavish anyone with anything.
Indeed, Christ was tempted by evil, but he had the strength to resist. This poor soul evidently has not had the strength to resist the evil that hunts all of us, but especially those who strive to serve the Lord.
Right...the elephant in the room is homosexuality. It always was. Since the cultural Marxists (who are trying to destroy the family and Christianity) make it unPC to mention homosexuality as a disorder (same as you can’t mention islam as the enemy).....You won’t be able to deal with the real problem.
The Church has caved a little to the PC trying to not offend the homosexuals. That is their problem, because as long as they just exist, they will offend the homosexual. THEY would do good to attack homosexuality thoroughly and bring out a study on homosexual priests and the underlying child abuse that created their uncontrollable lust. (Child abuse). It should be easy for them to do the study.
They have to document the child abuse that causes homosexuality. It is learned and not genetic and the Church should PROVE it to end all this PC lies and this constant propaganda in promoting something by its very nature that is the result of child abuse. By promoting homosexuality, people are promoting child abuse and the perversion of the laws of nature. That is shameful and flies in the face of all the logic and reason and science contained in Catholic Theology!
The Church has got to lead the charge with science.
Fiala should never have been allowed to have become a priest.
Nor are you defending the victim. What gives?
Put him in jail and throw away the key.
