Palin Takes On PETA
National Review (the Corner) ^ | 12/5/2010 | Katrina Trinko

Posted on 12/06/2010 5:06:45 AM PST by Servant of the Cross

Up tonight on TLC’s Sarah Palin’s Alaska: the former governor is waging war on “anti-hunting hypocrisy.”

“See how we fill our freezers and feed our families with home-grown tundra-roaming Alaskan wild game,” wrote Palin on Facebook. “And, PETA, please remember: Alaskans eat, therefore we hunt.”

She also indicated that the episode would showcase the potential for oil drilling in Alaska’s Article National Wildlife Refuge. “You’ll also see us hunting at the edge of ANWR,” Palin promised, “where you can see the uninhabited lands that warehouse billions of barrels of American energy supplies underground just waiting for the political will to allow responsible resource development.”

And for anyone who considers hunting “controversial,” Palin had this message: “Unless you’ve never worn leather shoes, sat upon a leather couch or eaten a piece of meat, save your condemnation of tonight’s episode.”

Well, well, well. A TV 'reality show' can be used by an authentic conservative to effectively promote conservative issues! And stick a finger in the eye of the Libs by doing it? Whoda thunk?!

Hey, elitist Tokyo Rove, you are so 'yesterday'!

I also like how TLC seems to have said to the Libs criticizing its decisions regarding Palin...”screw you...we like ratings!”

10 minutes into Sara Palin's acceptance speech at the 2008 GOP Convention, I turned to my wife and said: "You're looking at the first female POTUS."

I still think that.

I’ve seen the promos for tonight’s episode.
The sound of lil’ lib pointy heads exploding will be quite audible across all time zones!

I hope you enjoy next week with Kate Gosselin.

Hehehe. What don't you like about Sarah tweaking PETA AND making effective points about the wisdom of drilling in ANWR (to a national audience)? Your comment sounds like the sour grapes of a whiny Lib, rather than a conservative reaction.

I enjoyed watching Governor Palin make that shot with a borrowed rifle. It was a shame that her dad didn’t check the zero on his before the hunt.

I’ll explain the obvious to you.Hollywood is trying marginalize and trivialize Palin by having this mammal on the show.

Wolf Blitzer, with CNN said, “It wasn’t just a home run, it may have been a grand slam.” And NBC’S Tom Brokaw said, “A very auspicious debut.” Jeff Greenfield, with CBS said, “Perfect populist pitch.”

Chris Wallace (Fox), Anderson Cooper and Wolf Blitzer (CNN), all agree on one thing: “A Star is Born.”

I watched some of it last night. The part where they took apart the caribou and bagged it's internal organs must have driven libs into fits of hysteria.

Palin’s Dad seems like a cool guy.

Just watched this episode this morning. It was the best by far! Only thing that I didn’t like was the absence of the charismatic Todd. But her dad took his place in the he-man category. What a family!

Considering I, too, am a Senior it is understandable considering that I am sure there are some mornings he can’t check his own “zero”.....I was dumbfounded at his physical stamina....I drag out of bed checking to see if all is well....and that is a highlight of the day for me...ha!

Yes,we watch the show and enjoy the each week. You have to be a special person to live in Alaska. However,we were
shocked that the Palin’s would agree to have Gosselin on the
show.
