Wikileaks: WMD program existed in Iraq prior to US invasion
Law Enforcement Examiner ^ | 7 December 10 | Jim Kouri

Posted on 12/07/2010 4:50:21 PM PST by LSUfan

The release by Julian Assange's web site Wikileaks of classified documents reveals that U.S. military intelligence discovered chemical weapons labs, encountered insurgents who were specialists in the creation of toxins, and uncovered weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. However, Washington, DC officials and the news media have ignored this information.

Iraq had WMDs. Bush didn’t lie; The left and media did.

Nothing we didn’t already know. Next!

That’s just about the best explanation I’ve read as to why Bush didn’t loudly publicize the finding of WMDs.

But ... he says in his book that not finding WMDs was a disappointment.

???

It was necessary and that’s exactly what President Bush did.

I think we all knew this. I have been told this and that( see 2nd paragraph) have been laughed at, mocked, and worse by liberals. There were photos in the LA times with flatbeds full of liquid poisons, sarin gas, and whamo all disappeared. Then number one daughter joins IDF( no news from her, but when I visited a few others told me of how Syria has stockpiles besides their own plants). Mostly scuttlebutt however I remember articles during the "Food for oil " scandals and the Hans Blix lame UN Inspections( Saddam's multiple Chinese Fire Drills) in which there were truck loads of gas driven directly into Syria. Now why would Syria have thousands of gas tipped missiles pointed at Israel, and why is number one daughter working OT as a molecular biologist, umm better not say, but was working on sarin gas inoculations for the Israeli populace just two years ago. Now she says nothing, better that way anyway.

My take is Bush kept it secret of what he knew, and what was pretty widely well known in US and Israeli spec ops. Kept under wraps to trail the bad guys. Hush hush and all. I don't have proof, just rumors, hints, winks, and some verbals; oh and those pics in the LA Times and other newspapers( some caught at Jordanian border). Man I should have kept those pics, can't find a single one on the net and I've been searching for years( links anyone???). The Israeli words, well, I saw nothing, heard a lot, don't know if the missiles are 2,000 or 10,000 but it's enough; my mind is going, sorry.

Interesting articles Lori. Thanks for mentioning.

Just cannot understand why many on here are so quick to off Assange...when most of what he reveals puts Liberals and Globalists in a very bad light. The real criminals here are the ones who gave the info to Assange...since they had the access

Soros isn’t helping Assange....Soros wants Assange eliminated.

Yep. Then there was Tommy Franks who said in his book that he saw on satellite surveillance the convoys of trucks leaving suspected Iraqi chemical sites and followed them over the Syrian border and all the way to some depot in the Bakaa valley.

Then a couple of months later there was an Israeli airstrike on that location... obliterating the whole depot. Curiously enough, the Syrians made no protest at all following the airstrike. They were flat busted and they knew it. They couldn’t bitch about it without acknowledging what it was. Syria remained silent about the raid.

Curious, that.

This will be the only Wikileaks data that was secret, became public, and will become secret again.

Tractor trailer loads of Saddam’s chemical & biological weapons (so-called W.M.D, some of which Saddam had used to murder Kurds) were taken to Syria for a price, paid by the Assad régime to Saddam, prior to the U.S./U.K. Iraqi invasion to overthrow the brutal Baghdad dictatorship, which was a success.

...Just cannot understand why many on here are so quick to off Assange...when most of what he reveals puts Liberals and Globalists in a very bad light...

That's easy. He has committed espionage by conspiring with a traitor to reveal classified information. The quality, quantity or content of the compromise is not important. Any compromise of any classified information carries the same penalty. In his case since he isn't a citizen of the U.S. it is espionage. This carries penalties up the the death penalty. It doesn't matter what was leaked to him. That most of it has been fairly pedestrian memos is irrelevant. He conspired to reveal classified information. Slam. Dunk.

Ummmmm.... Ok, so say you were handed O’bam’bam’s birth certificate and it stated he was born in Kenya. Would you also be conspiring to reveal classified info if you gave it to elRushbo? Sorry, but fruit of a poisoned tree does not apply to this type of information.

I, for one, am tired of the most anarchistic among us wrapping themselves in the mantle of “conservatism,” and pretending that they are the only true conservatives.

Always thought Sadaam was similar to Hitler by killing his own citizens. That alone warranted action as it did during WWII. But I remember well the great FR threads with documents proving the presence of WMD while the media ignored it.

President Bush should have provided more details then, but what about the top GOP leaders? Wouldn’t they have known also, like those on the intelligence committees? Shouldn’t they have spoken up too at the time? Does anyone remember if any of them did?

I recall that they did, but few picked up on it. The Bush administration didn’t push it.

I agree. It makes a lot of sense. Whether it’s actually true is another matter.

Why would that information be classified? It wouldn’t be. If that information existed, it would be in the public domain.
