Listening to the opening remarks by Rush today, he doesn’t seem overly impressed with the ‘new’ Republican leadership and what they are doing.

==

It seems, we have more of the same. That could include more of the same type of presidential nominee for 2012.

I’ve emailed both my Rep (Burton) and Boehner stating my disgust at the selection of Rogers as chair for Appropriations. I encourage you all to do the same.

Once again, the Republicans are demonstrating tone-deafness beyond belief.

Rogers beat two other House veterans with a history of securing earmarks, or special projects...All three campaigned for the position by vowing to carry out the GOP's pledge to ban earmarks and stressing that they were the best man to realize Republicans' election promises to drastically slash federal spending.

Do they just assume we're all stupid and will believe this nonsense?

The producers of this Nation get screwed every two years by two political parties. The Democrat Party and the Republican Party. It has been happening for years. Not only do they get used like a two dollar street whore. Both parties make them pay for their own screwing. One would tend to think that they[the producers]would catch on as to what is happening and try to change it. Sometines they do. A visionary will say we need to do this and that nd begin. Then the judas goats will cry, “You can’t do that, it won’t work. You must do it this way” And so it goes. If the Conservative movement is to surviive, they must divorce from the Established Republican Party and form a Party of their own. In the Tea Parties they have the nucli to organize at the local level and spread out and up.

As it stands now, the Conservatives have three enemies: The Republican Party, the Democrat Party, and last but not least, themselves.

Guess the GOP didn’t learn after all. Pity.

This is one of the reasons that I am a man without a party. I refuse to choose between “stupid” or “evil” when it comes to casting my vote in any future elections.

If the Repubs think they can get my vote by sucking slightly less than Obumble then they are severely mistaken and did not learn a damn thing from the mid-term election.

There are hundreds of ways the GOP can screw up the 2012 election and a 3rd party will be the only option for me if they do not find their way soon.

Question 1: Do the incoming freshmen get to vote on committee chairmanships in the new Congress? (Seems like the current GOP leadership is dictating these assignments and no one else in the GOP caucus is getting any input.)

Question 2: I've heard somewhere (Rush Limbaugh, perhaps) that some worthwhile possibilities for committee chairmanships in the new Congress were eliminated from consideration because of "term limits." This is the first I've heard of "term limits" in this context. Can someone please explain how "term limits" may apply here?

Ugh, don’t remind me of that witch! That’s why we can’t let it be close. Going the indy route didn’t work out for Crist too well so I guess it’s race by race. It’s either try to win the primary with real conservatives or let the Republican establishment (Cornyn, McConnell, et al) pick which RINO we get to vote for in the Fall.

I just tried to call Boehner’s office; lines are busy and then, when you get through, his mail box is full. I guess We The People are questioning his “lack” of spine, guts, and gonads.

Boehner is a Rino. He has a long track record of being a Rino. He is just doing what comes naturally to him.

Rinos do not care about the voters. They do not mind being the minority party and their other party being a majority party. It’s all progress to them.

Watch Wisconsin, we completely switched from liberal to conservative, in a dramatic fashion. The Gov elect suggested neutering the state SEIU. The libs heads are exploding already and the new government isn’t even sworn in. We’ve just killed the cow-speed Chicago pork barrel rail line. Seriously, we’ve been dying here for years, and finally beat the Milwaukee/Madison liberal cabal.

THE LIBS ARE GOING BALLISTIC.

Everything that’s happening nationally is happening here locally. We’ve been living in a double hell these past two years.

We beat it back. Only fighting one fight will be paradise.

Boehner needs to be voted out of the Speaker’s position. How does that happen?

Someone has to run against him. They take a vote at the beginning at the new congress for speaker. Boehner’s position is not guaranteed until he’s voted in. Someone, perhaps a Paul Ryan type guy puts his hat in, lobbies his colleagues for their vote. Then there’s a vote. It’s kind of like a homecoming queen or class president vote.

I don’t know how it is to kick a sitting speaker out. Perhaps someone can add that.

We DESPERATELY need a DeMint-style leader in the House. Boehner is pathetically weak, IMO. Where’s George Patton when we need him?

Anyone with connections in the House, use them now to find a true leader to replace Boehner.
