Traitors everywhere.

They've been working their way into the positions for decades - with help from the Marxists. Incredible.

I joined in 1984: recruiters asked— if you said you were homosexual, you were NOT allowed in. That ended the interview. You also had to attest that you were not a homosexual, so that if it were found to be true, the military would be able to discharge you for a fraudulent enlistment in order to recover any bonus money.

I’m wondering how many officers will tender their resignation, and how many NCOs will leave at the end of their contract.

Perhaps this is the real objective, to purge the military of many people who might not want to go along with what the Socialist=in-Chief has in mind next.

I think many officers in command positions know they can kill this if they move with the speed typical of the military bureaucracy. This will become effective sometime around 2054.

You are not going to be seeing mauve camo gear or barracks furnished with antiques for a while yet.

I am pleased the Congress voted to repeal of the 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' statute (section 654 of title 10, United States Code).

It is not this guy's job to be pleased that gays can now flaunt their homosexuality and be protected by sensitivity groups, jag corp etc. It is his job to have an effective naval force.

Why is he so pleased? Is he gay and will now be able to come out of the closet?

Just imagine the amount of command effort that is going to go into this exercise. It will be Obama’s number one objective for the military. Will there be a Navy Under Secretary for Gay, Lesbian and Transgender Affairs?
Does this meant that the US Military will be required to send a Color Guard for the Gay Pride Parade in all cities where it is held?
It will be interesting to see how they tie themselves in knots coming up for the new rules and regulations..it would be funny if it weren’t such a waste of time and effort.

I don’t sense that. I suspect it’s just a case of being biblically illiterate; thus unable to make a moral judgment on the issue.

Remove the Bible, and there is nothing wrong with homosexuality. I mean, if we all descended from primordial soup, what right do I have in invoking a moral question?

After all, we happened by accident, so we might as well get along and do whatever feels good.

At least, that is their world view.

For Christians, we know that national judgment is just around the corner because homosexuality is the LAST sin where God allows man (and nations) to pass the point of no return (Romans 1).

It will be devestating.

Your; "Shame on Admiral Roughead. If he were a man of honor, he would put in his retirement papers and condemn this action."

Hear, hear!

All Commissioned Officers should request retirement because of this.

The waste of time and effort will be the least of our worries, believe me. Sodomites always construe a victory in one are to be carried forward everywhere. Thus when they were told that sodomy in now legal nationwide, they thought that meant they can now get “married,” with powerful effect.

Sodomy is still punishable by the UCMJ - until they repeal that.
