If only the Civilian population would be forced and made to do the same...
Not in the least. Did not surprise me that the Navy was the first to come out of the closet.
I didn’t understand your example. But absent the Bible, everything becomes a matter of taste or preference. Human history has borne that out.
When one states something is wrong, the laws of logic dictate there has to be a standard by which to judge. By saying something is wrong, you are invoking a moral judgment. If we are not responsible to a God who has given us truth; by what standard do you invoke?
If I were an evolved animal, why would I give a rip about two of the same sex of my species copulating? It won’t produce children, but I could never say that it is wrong.
For that matter, if we are just protoplasm sailing through the universe, there really isn’t anything wrong with me taking a .357 and blowing someone’s head off for pure sport a la Columbine High School.
Our forefathers knew it would be impossible for a country to maintain a republic absent it being a moral and religious society. They believed the Bible. We have lost that, and we will soon lose our place.
But we can still go to church tomorrow and worship the Lord, and pray for our country.
“Does it surprise anyone who has familiarity with the armed forces that the Navy would be pro-homosexual?”
Two points if I may:
Melchior, you must be a &^#*nut. I have no idea where you served,or even if you did, but I guarantee me and my Navy buddies served in more danger and terrible conditions than you ever did. And EVERYONE was a man, and looked out for each other. I would match war stories with you anytime. When we served there was a ban on homosexuals serving. I am sure there were more than a few in every branch of the service, but they surely hid their preferences.
This DADT is a done deal, has been for some time now. I would bet that most of the congress critters never even served in the military. It is just indicative of the way this once great country is sliding headfirst into self destruction and obscurity. Another “politically correct” move to allow the liberals to change the world as we know it.
I also guarantee to you that enlistments will be down almost immediately, and CADRE will be lost due to this decision. This will severely cripple the rate of retention in the military.
Absolutely disgusting.
Absolutely disgusting.
You have your legacy admiral. retire.
A ridiculous comment from a member of the Joint Chiefs. It's time for Seven Days in May. For real.
Thanks for the link. Very interesting. No wonder the teachers unions and TV kiddie shows are so busy trying to promote the gay “lifestyle”. It’s conditioned behavior.
Don't get your hopes up. Except for a small handful of "dissenters" the top brass all supported this. The 60 day review period will be nothing more than introducing the new policies via official messages throughout each command, having everyone sign service record entries stating that these new policies have been fully explained to them, that they understand the new policies and understand the consequences of not abiding by them.
Join the Army - test positive for AIDS/HIV - draw 100% disability for the rest of your miserable life.
If you don’t believe me check the VA regulations.
I hope this Admiral “Sh*thead” who’s “pleased” about the repeal is booed heartily every time he speaks in front of Veterans groups.
Yup.
Gee Admiral, how’s that obedience to the UCMJ goin’ for ya? Idiot. Admirals and Generals are pols always thinking of themselves first and foremost. I believe the era of ADMs and GENs of real men are long gone, you know, the kind that stand on principle based on strong morals.
Good a whole new meaning to the rank of Rear Admiral.
My son is in the men's department of the Navy. He said you will see a mass exodus within the Marines.
“These guys at the top are Satans butt wipers.”
Clinton put them on the fast track, while good officers resigned in droves.
George Bush’s single greatest mistake as president was in not cleaning house thoroughly.
He took flack for firing a handfull of US attorneys; first thing clintstone did, day one, was fire *every* US attorney.
Bush should have fired tens of thousands of people for cause within a month of inauguration.
Reason #2,437,939 why I am glad I am retired.
I wonder when they will be forced to re-implement conscription?
In one of my stopovers in the military I was sent by mistake to Aberdeen Proving Ground. There I was in casual status for some time as the homosexual senior NCO took a liking to me. To make a long story short, I used the Provost Marsall’s office to do him in. The only trouble was he was replaced by a buddy who was also a homosexual. He tried to send me to Fort Churchill, Canada, but had to be satisfied with the bomb disposal school at the U.S. Naval Powder Factory, Indian Head, MD., where he hoped I would blow myself up. I didn’t give him the pleasure. However, it was at Indian Head that I learned how homosexuals could disrupt the order of an outfit. The Navy there was a mess. Just prior to the big Viet Nam influx the military had done a good job of cleaning itself up. However, whether you like it or not, the Navy has always been considered a looser operation. It may be due to the large number of perfumed princes that make it to star rank.
Well Melchior, in 6 years I never saw it. I know it was there just by the mathematical probability, but it never was seen by me.
I guess I just take exception to anyone misspeaking of my Navy. Look, the real Navy just like all of the other services are run by the Senior NCO’s. The very upper flag ranks are all political stooges using every move possible to get where they want to go. The CNO SHOULD be supportive of keeping the Navy straight. Where is Admiral Zumwolt when we need him? This directive, or law is just another liberal nail in the coffin of America.
BTW, did you have all 13 buttons buttoned on your broadfalls? Maybe that was the problem.
