If you have 78 minutes to spare watch Paul Kengor at the Heritage Foundation on C-Span, "Dupes: How America's Adversaries Have Manipulated Progressives for a Century." It's linked in comment# 1. It was very good! Japan and the Limits of Keynesianism

I'm not finding that, do you have a direct link?
Thanks.

Obama’s not actually very bright. He never matured beyond very childish Marxism that has failed every single time it’s been tried, and is against human nature, and of course is also evil to the individual. He’s kind of an idiot.

It's linked in comment# 1.

"I'm not finding that, do you have a direct link?"

It's linked in comment# 1 of this thread about John Reed by Paul Kengor, not the failure of "Japan and the Limits of Keynesianism."

Kengor: I know people are listening right now who want me to address this -- and especially people who are Obama supporters. To be fair, I mean, look at where you were then and now where you are today. Drew: Well, yeah, now I'm a Ronald Reagan, churchgoing, Baptist conservative ... Kengor: But now, okay, so what about Obama? Where do you think he is today?

Now he's reading Reagan and going to church we'll see what kind of conversion that makes.

He’s kind of an idiot.

In this forum, you may be hard pressed to find an argument, especially in foreign and economic affairs, but underestimating poltical adversaries can be problematic.

This piece is whining over spilt milk.

Whining is nonproductive. Action is required.

The mess must be cleaned and the cause eliminated

...a socialist grave for America to lie down in.

That was the point of the sock puppet of Daddy Bigbucks.

Great thread, and thank you for the links.

It should be clear to all that America is facing several distinct threats, each approaching at an accelerating rate of speed.

Some may regard as a threat the implications to our nation of the pending collapse of Mexico. Other may believe the growth of China’s military capabilities and its economic grip on the U.S., while at the same time our military and economy is being weakened, presents a threat. They would all be correct.

But IMO, the two immediate threats are the possible success of the present attack on our political institutions and the economy by socialist/communists/anti-Americans who already hold substantial ground within those institutions, and the growing presence of Islam.

We may have a political defense against the first of those two threats. But at the moment, it seems unlikely we will construct a defense against the Islamic threat before they gain a majority in local and national elections. Unlikely because it appears we will continue to view Islam as a religion instead of a political organization that denies the essence of our Constitution.
