Last Jan. 28 there was a column in this newspaper about why Gov. Charlie Crist could still win the U.S. Senate race.
Crist had survived many tough fights in the past, the column said. He still enjoyed "mainstream goodwill" and a 50 percent approval rating.
"As for (Marco) Rubio," the writer continued dismissively, "today's media darling is tomorrow's target."
And who was the idiot saying all this?
That would be me.
Rubio beat Crist by 19 points.
Wait, I got more.
March 23, I speculated that by the time the November elections rolled around, health-care reform ("Obamacare") would have faded as a hot issue, once Americans saw some of the early benefits:

A quote from the article:
"People found out about his political philosophy. … His compass didn't point north, it didn't point south, it didn't point east and it didn't point west. It pointed any way the wind was blowing for him," said state Sen. John Thrasher, who chairs the state Republican Party. "You can be a populist for so long before it catches up to you and that's exactly what happened to him."
I’ve got to give the guy credit - he may be a lib, but he can laugh at himself. Funny piece.
Journalism is for people who couldn’t cut the rigors of an English degree, and are too lazy to teach.
Reading newspapers is an exercise in misinformation.
All the selected AP and national wire stories are Lib Propaganda. Sports and some local stuff is OK. There are less than 20 Employment ads where there used to be hundreds. They do have a few good writers though on non political stories. The Editorials are at this point just pathetic.
Way too much credit given to the English majors. Either degree plus $.50 gets you on a bus. (my degree was in English and Mass Communications)

This guy Troxler is like a lot of economists—Consistently wrong, yet still employed.
