The Wilding of Sarah Palin (From a recovering liberal 2009)
American Thinker ^ | Nov 24, 2009 | Robin of Berkley

When I was in college, I read a book that changed my life. It was Susan Brownmiller's tome, Against Our Will: Men, Women, and Rape, which explained rape as an act of power instead of just lust. What I found particularly chilling was the chapter on war -- how rape is used to terrorize a population and destroy the enemy's spirit.

While edifying, the book magnified the vulnerability I already felt as a female. Fear of rape became a constant dread, and I sought a solution that would help shield me from danger.

The answer: seek safe harbor within the Democratic Party. I even became an activist for feminist causes, including violence against women. Liberalism would protect me from the big, bad conservatives who wished me harm.

What finally woke me up were the utterances of "bitch," "witch," and "monster" toward Hillary Clinton and her supporters early last year. I was shocked into reality: the trash-talk wasn't coming from conservatives, but from male and female liberals.

I finally beheld what my eyes had refused to see: that leftists are Mr. and Ms. Misogyny. Neither the males nor the females care a whit about women.

Women are continually sacrificed on the altar of political correctness. If under radical Islam women are enshrouded and stoned and beheaded, so be it.

My other epiphanies: those ponytailed guys were marching for abortion rights not because they cherished women's reproductive freedom, but to keep women available for free and easy sex.

Best article I’ve read in a while. I couldn’t figure out why the left hated Palin so much. This article makes it very clear.

You might find the Russian conduct in the taking of Berlin interesting. May I suggest the book ‘The Last Battle’ by Cornelius Ryan. His first two in the trilogy were the ‘Longest Day’ and a Bridge Too Far’.

You might find the conduct of the left’s Sainted Soviet Union disgusting.

Man, that’s good stuff. I personally believe that leftists are neurotics whose lust for power compensates for their otherwise miserable existence.

TAH DAH!!!! The last line is the clincher. Most liberal men espouse the liberal tripe because it is an aphrodisiac for shallow directionless, and lost women.

Liberalism can’t stand on it’s own merit because it’s intellectually and morally bankrupt. Truth causes it’s foundations to crumble as we saw with the liberal Acorn organization. They depend on the left leaning media to spin facts into lies. When this fails they attack the problem with the race card and by inciting hate and violence.

These paragraphs stood out for me:

Because as a mother and a fertile woman, Palin is as close to the sacred as a person gets. She is not just politically pro-life. Her whole being emanates life, which is a stark contrast to the darkness of the Left, the life-despoilers.

These "progressives" are so alienated from the sacred that they perceive nothing as sacred. And they will destroy anyone whose goodness shines a mirror on their pathology. The spiritually barren must annihilate the vital and the fertile.

The author’s being from one of the most suspect of the soft sciences shows throughout her article. However, given her admitted Liberal orientation and the lack of verifiable premises in her profession, she still writes an interesting article.

Arguably, her best talent is her mastery of aptly turned phrase. Her sentence, “If women work hard, leftist men don’t have to.” is an excellent example.

What a fantastic article! I know a number of women who had this same epiphany. They came from the PUMA ranks, liberals upset with the shabby way Hillary Clinton was treated by the left. Converted liberals make good conservatives. You have to have patience with some in their conservative growth, tho, same as you would with a new Christian.

The wilding of any woman is reprehensible. But defiling a mother of five with a babe in her arms, and a grandmother to boot, is particularly obscene. It is, of course, Palin’s unapologetic motherhood that fuels the leftist fire.

Because as a mother and a fertile woman, Palin is as close to the sacred as a person gets. She is not just politically pro-life. Her whole being emanates life, which is a stark contrast to the darkness of the Left, the life-despoilers.”

Great article. I would have never guessed in a million years it was written by a psychotherapist in Beserkly. She's exactly right, they're attempting to psychologically rape Palin. Ain't gonna work, and it's really, really pi$$ing ‘em off.

As a woman, Sarah Palin’s life is what I want — a career, yes, but more important, a great spouse and family surrounding me,, supporting me through thick and thin.

To see her vs. many of the strung out liberal women I know, is a huge contrast. Most lib women I know are divorced, unhappy, still seeking men, usually unable to find them...and just in general nasty and angry as hell. A lot of them have kids who are really a mess and they are forever embroiled in problems w/ them also.

I know who I’d much rather emulate. I know who is happier and much more fulfilled. It shows in her face.

What a world it would be if all women strove to emulate Sarah Palin in all they did.

Well done. The author may still have a journey to make, but she now sees through her former liberal delusions.

I would have liked to add to her points the fact that NOW continued to support Bill Clinton when it became evident that he was a serial rapist, because they knew they could rely on him to support abortion.

The same kind of pattern she speaks about with her pony-tailed friends.

(^Grammar Police Siren*)

it’s = contraction for “it is”
its = possessive adjective meaning “belonging to it”

Liberalism can’t stand on [it is] own merit because [it is] intellectually and morally bankrupt. Truth causes [it is] foundations to crumble as we saw with the liberal Acorn organization.

Should be:

Liberalism can’t stand on its own merit because it’s intellectually and morally bankrupt. Truth causes its foundations to crumble as we saw with the liberal Acorn organization.

“abortion rights not because they cherished women’s reproductive freedom, but to keep women available for free and easy sex.”

BINGO.

It’s never about “rights” - it’s about easy sex.

Women have been BROUGHT DOWN to mens’ level, not up, by the “sexual revolution”.

Sometimes it takes a good shock to wake you up to something you’d probably seen all along. Most of us have been there at some point in our lives. And some have been there over and over again, for different things of course(talkin bout myself) It’s how we grow, mature, become a little wiser. Glad to have you with us :)

In these dark times, with spiritually bankrupt people at the helm, thank God we have bright lights like Sarah Palin to illuminate the darkness.
