Obama DID rebuke the lefty idiots who were blaming Palin et al, at least mildly

What you meant to say is that after five days of obscene leftwing hate, seeing the polls not responding all that favorably, he called off his dogs.

I’m with you , Victory Gal. As a snowbird resident of Giffords’ district, I thought the President’s remarks were spot on, wholly appropriate, genuine, and moving. I also thought Robert Shelton (U of A Pres) and the crowd were an embarassment. And no, I’m not a newbie troll. I’ve been hanging around this site for over a decade. I agree with almost nothing this president has done, but this time he got it right.

I totally agree. However, Obama should have had more control over the events of the ceremony. It appears he allowed his staffers, the DNC, and the University of Arizona to control the ceremony and the crowd. This was the mistake, and shows ineptitude of leadership on the White House's part.

[[So if this president delivers a good speech that honors the slain and the heroes that ran into harm’s way to save their fellow Americans, I (and Glenn Beck, apparently) feel like it’s appropriate to give credit where credit is due despite how fiercely I oppose Obama’s legislation. ]]

Nope=- sorry- He was LYING througbh his teeth- his speech didn’t amount to a pisshole in the snow as a result- He has looked America in the face- told us to ‘shut up’ used angry hateful rhettoric for 2 years, and all of a sudden he has turned completely around and wants to ‘unite America’? BS!!!

He is nothign but a two-faced politician, and NOTHING he says about now wantign to ‘be civil, and to ‘unite all americans’ nor of ‘building a better future for future amerricans has even a modicum of TRUTH to it, and anyone with a lick of sense sees right through his empty BS. He and his fellow democrats have for 10 long years, been the most venmous angry childish group of people aroun d, and hwe the Republicans FINALLY begin to stand up for themselves, the dems retreat in horror, and claim that we must all ‘now come together’- in other words- they are saying’ You republicans shut the hell up while continue to walk all over you and the American people and bully our way across your lives while violating hte constitution’!!!

Obama gave us the middle figner when he looked us in the face and said ‘Remember who won the election’, and hwen he REFUSED to listen to the American people and infact gtold us point blank to shut up- and the dmeocrats are continuing to give us the midle fingwer while they attempt to stifle free speech with hteir assinine, blatantly false’ fairness doctrines’

Make NO mistake about it- Obama was NOT tryign to unite anyone during his campaign pep rally in Arizona (using a crisis to try to save his political hide and falling poll numberas). The democrats got caught redhanded abusing a tradgedy by trying to blame republicans, and they were merely backtrackign and tellign republicans that they were being hateful by defendign themselves agaisnt the blood libel the dems were throwign their way, and that now we must ‘all work together and not ‘figner point’? He wasn’t satying that to the dems- he was rebuking the republicans for having the nerve to defend themselves agaisnt the false accusations fro mthe left i nthe hopes that the repubs woudl sit back down and shut up liek they always do so that the dems can go right on pumping venom into the GOP unimpeded-

The dems saw that America was on to their hypocrisy, and they tried to turn this all aroudn o nthe republicans by claiming that republicans were being hateful- and that we needed to shut up and ‘work together’ for a ‘better future for our kids’ (who incidently he and hte dems have rammed big govenrment policies down hteir throats, higher taxes, less medical coverasge, staggaring debt etc-

This admin is so two-faced it isn’t even funny anymore!

No Beck is just another puppet on TV brainwashing idiots who watch in 3-D. His boss Prince Al Waleed Bin Tal aka Saudi Arabia paid $700 million for the white hut. Beck is a close buddy with o’reilly.

I have been telling people here that ALL TV supports him. Fox was on election night. Shortly after that I pulled the plug on TV. Full on propaganda on every channel designed to shape the minds of idiots.

I agree with you; the President did a great job regardless of the letter next to his name. The people who only see party affiliation are the same that defended Bush on amnesty, drunken spending, and federal enlargement on stupid programs like No Child Left Behind only because Bush was a Republican. I’ll never support or oppose any person based on party affiliation.

No problem. I honestly didn’t remember Obama at Fort Hood either. I do remembr Pres. Bush coming in and visiting privately with the victims though.

But you know why the Ft. Hood massacre and the following Memorial was low key?

Because the whores in the media could not flail about blaming Sarah, Rush and conservatives. There was a mussie to blame - so ignore this story and move on.

And it’s still that way today. Where is the media attention to Hasan and why the Pentagon screwed over America with allowing an enemy infiltrator in the US Army?

Hmmmm......just wondering......could this possibly have anything to do with Beck’s opinion? Nah...couldn’t be.

Prediction.....Beck will self-implode. He will not be renewed next year. He will bring it on himself. Conservatives will be the first of his viewing base to go. They're going, already, as a matter of fact.

Then he can fall back on his radio gig and book writing, maybe "tent"-type evangelizing, touting his heroes, MLK and Ghandi, and spreading his own concept of pacifism and how to live.

Too bad...when Glenn is good (exposing Obama's communist appointees, etc.) he's very, very good.....and when he moralizes for a full hour and when he promotes false gospel and idols, he's horrid.

The University of Arizona was responsible for the T-shirts and the cheering crowd.

I wouldn't be 100% sure of that. There is a good chance that some Obama administration or campaign committee influence was wielded and that money was funneled through the back door.

At the least it deserves to be investigated.

Why the suspicion?

For one, the "Together We Thrive" logo printed on the T-Shirts is an old slogan recycled from Obama's Organizing for America:

Theme of “Together We Thrive” T-shirt came from Obama’s Organizing for America

Don’t tell me that all that hoopla did not have to be run by the Presidential staff for approval.

They could have nipped it in the bud, but then their campaign kick-off would not have been as appealing to the mind-numbed masses.

You, my dear, seem to have been drinking the Koolaid.

A good speech has nothing to do with leadership and good judgment actions do.Are you handing out the first bait to support Obama for his next run for office? or a sucker for a good speech?.

Again - these are all teleprompter fodder for dolts

How anyone can even watch anything from obama a tthis point and not realize this is all a show for idiots and sheep is beyond me.

Sad to say, but Obama has made me so cynical about politics and the office of the POTUS, I look at so much more now than I used to.

I haven't heard Obama's speech but if it was good - so what? He was just meeting minimal duties of being President.

Precisely!
When it comes down to it, people like Beck and VictoryGal are impressed for the simple reason that Ubama read a speech that was not offensive to anybody, thereby exceeding expectations. Whoop-de-do.

I agree with you Carley. In the speech Obama addressed the whole “heated rhetoric was the cause of this massacre” malarkey. “It wasn't” was what he said about the lefts wishful accusation. Thus throwing those venom merchants under the bus. Beck and others are trying to widen this crack between the left and Obama by being the wedge. C’mon people this ain't tiddly-winks, this is war.
