It seems like yesterday that the DC Chapter started its Friday night rally to support the wounded warriors and their families and to counter first Code Pink, and then anti-troop protesters. Over the past 5 ¾ years, many members and visitors have stood together every Friday night, which has resulted in 300 consecutive Friday nights at Walter Reeds front gates.
Tonight was a great night to celebrate 300 weeks! The first thing we saw was a huge semi- trailer parked down the block, effectively blocking the moonbat presence. Dont know why we didnt think of that sooner.
Lurker Bill had Tee shirts made which say Standing For Those Who Stand For Us - Walter Reed Friday Night Freep He also brought 3 crock pots of hot food which helped keep the evening warm. Everyone dug in. Lurker Bill had all of us sign his tee shirt which he gave to a wounded warrior.
Tonight, two buses took the wounded warriors and their families to dinner. We think they are making up for the three weeks of no buses during Christmas leave. When they returned, we could hear them yelling and waving their hands over their heads, thanking us for being there. To hear them is a great feeling.
Kristinn, who was at the first Friday DC Chapter Walter Reed rally, called to wish us well on the anniversary of the 300th Friday night

FOOTNOTES
Five moonbats tonight until 8:45, then 4 more showed up. All left promptly at 9pm. A big semi-trailer parked in front of them tonight ( for a laugh, see photo below of the longest semi in DC.) Dont feel sorry for them, they still get paid to be there.
The DC Chapter invites you to join us every Friday night between the hours of 6:30pm to approximately 9:30pm.

DC PING
The wounded warriors took care of the rest of the night by arriving early and showering us with generous waves and smiles. And by arriving early, we were able to pack up and get home at a reasonable time.
While cold last night, temps only hoovered around freezing, there was no wind except when a bus or truck blew past the corners. Then there was a definite wind chill for about 5 seconds, just enough to remind us that it was cold out.
KBURI - Thanks once again for taking time out to post the AAR.
[Mr] T
Cheers, as always!
My guess is the Soros supported Code Pink.
Do y’all have a definite date for the last FReep at Walter Reed? That may be worth the long drive.
Any plans to continue the FReep at Bethesda?
You guys rock!
You guys are the biggest story at Walter Reed. How has the media managed to miss it? Has any U.S. media ever come there to interview you? Your only seem to attract the foreign press. I, for one, am so darned proud of everyone of you I could bust my buttons....if I had buttons. 300 beeping nights without a rest. That is something extraordinary to be applauded by all the nation.
thanks for the ping
Well thank you for the kudos.
Local media have stopped by. Since we do not give them a good “story”, as in mis-speaking that they could play up as anti-troop or radical right, they do not report anything. Same for all the rallies against the leftists in DC. They are looking for a good “witch” story to report on.
[Mr] T
No plans to continue at Bethesda.
Maryland PING!
For the readers’ clarification, when WRAMC moves to become, I believe, the Walter Reed Bethesda Medical Center, a number of issues arise specifically related to its new location.
No longer will we be at the front gates on Georgia Ave, a moderately travelled, 6 lane, north/south highway, with no center island. There is plenty of parking available.
At the Bethesda Medical Center, Wisconsin Ave is north/south and a wide 6 lane, center island divided, highway, with very heavy traffic. There is no parking close to the gates.
Another issue is that we would be in Maryland, not DC, in which we have had permits for almost 6 years.
Not just Maryland, but Montgomery County, need I say more.
Across from the Bethesda Medical Center is the National Institute of Health. Security over the past ten years in this corridor has become incredibly restrictive.
So, ditto BufordP’s comment.
Congrats to all in the DC chapter for you 300th. WOO HOO !!Thanks to all of you for your dedication and hard work !!
P.S. Guns, I love your hat !
Congratulations, and my admiration for your dedication and toughness. Hot, cold, wet, dry, the DC Freepers are on duty on Friday nights!
How convenient of the Longest trailer in the world to have a blank side wall. Those photos will be great in the archives for the clever people who can photoshop little messages on them.
Thanks!
Thank you and thanks for standing with us when you can. You helped make 300 “easy”. Hopefully you will make it down at least once more before WR is closed. We have two big dates coming up. Our 6th year anniversary and the closing.
[Mr] T
Of course the media will be covering you. Right...sarc.
Holly Buckets - 300.
All we can all say is a big heavy duty THANK YOU all that do this.
