Obama intentionally did not mention gun control in his State of the Union, but aides say that in the next two weeks the administration will unveil a campaign to get Congress to toughen existing laws.
At the beginning of his State of the Union address, President Obama tipped his hat to Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, whos now recuperating in a Houston medical facility. But throughout the hourlong speech, he never addressed the issue at the core of the Giffords tragedygun controland what lawmakers would, or should, do to reform American firearm-access laws.
That was intentional, according to the White House. An administration official says Obama didnt mention guns in his speech because of the omnipresent controversy surrounding the Second Amendment and gun control. Tuesdays speech was designed to be more about the economy and how, as Obama repeated nine times, the U.S. could win the future.

“Obama didnt mention guns in his speech because of the omnipresent controversy surrounding the Second Amendment and gun control.”
That damn Bill of Rights keeps getting in the way!!!! (sarcasm)
Obama’s new gun control law: “Only criminals and terrorists will be permitted to possess a weapon within 300 yards of a townhall meeting”.
Yeah. I mean, the guy had to know his crap would kill him in the midterms, but he ‘doubled down’. Looks like he’s gonna ‘million-down’ and fall out in the 2012’s.
Let's be clear. When The Community Organizer was caught during a recording on an IPhone to the left in San Francisco, his comments are very, very telling:
"You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothings replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. So its not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who arent like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."
It's all there.
- By "small towns" he means whites
- He even emphasizes this later in the quote when he says "antipathy to people who arent like them or anti-immigrant sentiment "; this is clearly an attempt to label whites as the enemy against other ethnic groups
- By "religion" he means Christianity
So what he said was that he wants to disarm whites and Christians, because he sees them as his enemy.
This is very, very scary. Adolph Hitler could have made said this quote against the Jews. In fact, he said something very similar:
"The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subject races to possess arms. History shows that all conquerors who have allowed their subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by so doing. Indeed, I would go so far as to say that the supply of arms to the underdogs is a sine qua non for the overthrow of any sovereignty. So let's not have any native militia or native police. German troops alone will bear the sole responsibility for the maintenance of law and order throughout the occupied Russian territories, and a system of military strong-points must be evolved to cover the entire occupied country." --Adolf Hitler ______________________________________________________________________
Nazi Weapons Act of 1938 (Translated to English) Classified guns for "sporting purposes". All citizens who wished to purchase firearms had to register with the Nazi officials and have a background check. Presumed German citizens were hostile and thereby exempted Nazis from the gun control law. Gave Nazis unrestricted power to decide what kinds of firearms could, or could not be owned by private persons. The types of ammunition that were legal were subject to control by bureaucrats. Juveniles under 18 years could not buy firearms and ammunition. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A Gun Control Law Passed by the German Government One Day After Kristallnacht -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1573 Regulations Against Jews' Possession of Weapons 11 November 1938 With a basis in §31 of the Weapons Law of 18 March 1938 (Reichsgesetzblatt I, p.265), Article III of the Law on the Reunification of Austria with Germany of 13 March 1938 (Reichsgesetzblatt I, p. 237), and §9 of the Führer and Chancellor's decree on the administration of the Sudeten-German districts of 1 October 1938 (Reichsgesetzblatt I, p 1331) are the following ordered: §1 Jews (§5 of the First Regulations of the German Citizenship Law of 14 November 1935, Reichsgesetzblatt I, p. 1333) are prohibited from acquiring, possessing, and carrying firearms and ammunition, as well as truncheons or stabbing weapons. Those now possessing weapons and ammunition are at once to turn them over to the local police authority. §2 Firearms and ammunition found in a Jew's possession will be forfeited to the government without compensation. §3 The Minister of the Interior may make exceptions to the Prohibition in §1 for Jews who are foreign nationals. He can entrust other authorities with this power. §4 Whoever willfully or negligently violates the provisions of §1 will be punished with imprisonment and a fine. In especially severe cases of deliberate violations, the punishment is imprisonment in a penitentiary for up to five years. §5 For the implementation of this regulation, the Minister of the Interior waives the necessary legal and administrative provisions. §6 This regulation is valid in the state of Austria and in the Sudeten-German districts. Keep away from this issue, Obozo!
You’re in enough trouble to last a lifetime, let alone two more years of your petulant, communist-muslim idiocy.
Be Ever Vigilant!!
I hope he really tries this...there will be a “push” and it will move his marxist a@@ right out the White House.
I think he is stupid enough to try. Any Congressman, that goes along with this, can say good bye to his/her political career.
I know a lot of libs, independents and conservatives that definitely support the Second Amendment. They have been voting with their firearm and ammo purchases for some time.
I see the President is going to have a laser-like focus on jobs by giving a speech about gun control.
Nobody thinks gun control laws are about crime.
Everyone knows it’s about the centralized government keeping control, and getting more control
They’re going to fix things so that when us peasants finally rise up en masse and head for the seats of power, all we will have is torches and pitchforks.
They can handle that.
Once that is done, they can really drop the hammer on us with taxes, restrictions, wage caps, mandated work assignments, limited access to energy and transportation and news, the diet we all “should” eat, and above all keep each of us equal to everyone else but Party members.
It's just a short reach across the aisle for those two.
Except a 5 shot group under 3 inches at 1500 meters...twice...before lunch.
“White House to Push Gun Control”
Come n take em.
True story....
Shortly after the Cold War ended, a group of American generals were attending an international military symposium overseas. Also in attendance were some Russian generals.
Some of the American generals were hanging out at one point with a few of their Russian counterparts, and one of the American generals asked the Russians if they ever considered invading the United States during the Cold War era. One of the Russian generals laughed and said, “Oh, no. You people have too many guns over there.”
Sort of. The idea is to keep writing more restrictive laws, but not to enforce them...until they finally get the one they want.
A total ban.
THAT they will enforce.
Hey, I’ve got one of those! Minus the bony fingers of course.
I’ve got bullet holes TOUCHING at 300yds with hand-rolled .243win-!!
