Could The Fall Of Mubarak Lead To World War Three?

Posted on 02/11/2011 2:02:16 PM PST by pinochet

The peace treaty that the late President Anwar Sadat signed with Israel, is extremely unpopular with the Egyptian people. If free elections were to be held, any presidential candidate who hoped to stand a good chance of being elected, may be tempted to bash Israel in his campaign speeches.

If diplomatic relations between Egypt and Israel were to be cut off, there could be big trouble. If the Egyptian government were to refuse to cooperate with Israel in maintaining the blockade against Hamas, that might ignite an Egypt/Israel military conflict.

And if the ObamaNation provides missile and technical cover for the Islamists? Please don't expect a uprising in America.

How Long Before The Fall Of Mubarak Leads To World War Three?

The Saudis could make that up out of pocket change if they thought it would buy them some peace from the Muslim Brotherhood. Also with the US facing bankruptcy the money was likely to get scaled back in any case. Lets face it thanks to Obama's trillions of dollars of reckless domestic spending we just don't have the deep pockets necessary for wide scale bribery any more.

Of course you are right. I was just trying to see a small glimmer of hope in this disaster. I am afraid we are in for some rough times.

While channel surfing today I happened to see Tingle Chrissy say that if the Egyptians do not find a FDR then all will be lost. So even the idiot libs might be waking up to this problem.

Just how would Egypt “back out” of the peace treaty? Give Sinai back? Start a war?

It is easy. Just ignore it. Look at England and Germany in WWII.

Of course it will. Once the Caliphate gets up and running, they will try and do what Muslims do: spread Islam by any means necessary. It's what they've always done, and this isn't going to be any different. It will be on a bigger scale, though, maybe worldwide this time.

When they go against Israel, if Obama is in power, he will not lift a finger to help them. Israel will survive ( perhaps South Korea will come to their aid); but the US will have sealed it's fate. Remember God's promise to Israel:I will bless those who bless you; and curse those who curse you. We ignore this at our peril.

Do not for a moment believe that Israel's hackers would allow a combined muslim missile defense to function.

They are that good.

The only concrete action I can think of they could take would be to open the border with Gaza and openly support Hamas.

Ugh! Wonder if the border didn’t disapear as Mubarak’s helicopter took flight! Open Floodgate.

IOW, if the Egyptians abrogate the treaty, it’ll be the end of the “peace process” — clearly the word of a Moslem is worthless. Thanks pinochet.

It will cause WWIII.

But it will not last decades.

Iran will have and use nukes. Israel and the US will retaliate.

Pak will be involved somewhere along the line.

It will not last long.

Our nuke defense policy has been based on the fact that Russia is not run by suicidal maniacs.

We now will be forced to deal with suicidal maniacs and therefore our defense policy is not going to work.

Probably not out in he open.

Maybe financing some of the participants.

They do have oil interests in Iraq and mineral deals in Afghanistan, and those might get them involved.

Too early to tell.

=> “feed the revolutionaries to the guns”

The Muslim Brotherhood will be as corrupt as the Iranian leadership, soon their own revolutionaries, they strongest supporters, will become disillusioned. They will be the greatest threat to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Any conflict will be an opportunity to feed the revolutionaries to the guns. This is exactly what the Iranian leadership did in the Iran/Iraq war. Send them on suicidal infantry charges, let them walk in front of the tanks to clear mine field, etc..

If the Egyptian government were to refuse to cooperate with Israel in maintaining the blockade against Hamas, that might ignite an Egypt/Israel military conflict.

Israel would close the Gaza (Palestine) border with Egypt and the Palestinians would starve. The Jordanian border with the West Bank would probably also be closed.

With the current U.S. administration why do you think it would stop?

Even Obama wouldn't give money to a smoking crater.
