WOODBURY, N.Y. Sarah Palin gave her clearest open flirtation yet with a presidential run today, saying there's "no one" more qualified for that type of multi-tasking job than "a woman, a mom."
After saying she's still considering it but doesn't have an answer, Palin told a gathering of Long Island business officials that no one immediately comes to mind for who she would back if she doesn't run.

I dont have a name to give you right now, but what I would look for in character is someone whos been on the front lines understanding how to administer and how to lead a team. ... Gosh, nobodys more qualified [for the] multitaksing than a woman, a mom
whos administered locally, state, with energy isues, so maybe a mayor, a governor maybe.
During her appearance before the Long Island Association, a rare, free-wheeling public appearance for the former Alaska governor, Palin stood by her support for the "freedoms" in gun-buying that exist today. She said she prays for the "full recovery" of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords but that her would-be assassin was "an evil sick person" who was intent on "fulfilling his mission."

I surely hope she runs. I believe she is our last best hope on this earth. I pray God sees fit to raise her up to the top leadership position in this country.

This is all very tiresome. Nothing against Sarah in particular, but the extended flirtation is just silly. She's running. Everything she's done for the last two years has been oriented toward running. She has a clearer path to the Oval Office than any challenger to a first-term president since Woodrow Wilson. Why must we suffer through the dance of the seven veils?

Because the first one to declare will suffer even more media bombs than the last. If you think the media has tried to destroy her now...just wait until she officially declares. It’s why none of them: Daniels, Christie, Palin, Romney, etc. have officially declared. Best strategy is to wait.

I agree that Sarah has been running all along but just hasn't made it official yet. She'll announce in her own good time. Her political judgement is sound and I'm sure that there are behind the scenes considerations that we are not privy to.

It is too soon, but if she decides to run there is money ready for her.

It's really messing up their game plan.
It's brilliant strategy.

Once she announces, will she have to end most of her appearances on Fox because those would be considered “campaigning”?

Oh no doubt this is how the game is played. There are probably advantages on net to a later announcement, although I very much doubt that Sarah could be any more of a target than she already is. I’m not criticizing Team Sarah’s political strategy. Sometimes politicians have to play silly games. That doesn’t mean we have to enjoy them.

We are dealing with the Palin of 2011 not the one of 2008. She’s not the same woman, she has grown and learned how to deal with the forces against her. I’d like to see what she would do to Curic NOW!

By this time four years ago, ten Democrats and half a dozen Republicans had announced they were running. Only a few of the eventual candidates hadn’t yet announced.

Probably the same as she would have done had it been her call the first time. She was playing by McCain’s rules then.
To: editor-surveyor
She’s just like Chris Christie except:
1- she’s 300 lbs lighter
2- she wears a skirt
3- she’s hated by the media
4- she’s not a Sharia-Law sympathizer
5- she’s not a bully
6- she’s not a Global Warming freak
7- she didn’t let her brother “off the hook” in a criminal indictment.

Do we have the money-bomb ready for when she announces?
I heard the goal was $1M in 24 hours.
Am I low-balling it?
