devices or command detonated mines to the ships to be activated at a time and place that offers Israel plausible deniability.
At some time in the future the ships will mysteriously
sink due to an unknown internal explosion.

I am not surprised. Mad not surprised. Next Iran will have film of Israel doing something to protect themselves and the regime/White House will portray it as a hostile act towards Iran. Not good at all.

Considering that Iran’s leader repeatedly calls for the destruction of Israel, and with all the protest in Iran, the Iranian Regime might just thing it’s time to start a little something with Israel to galvanize the protesters into supporting the regime. What better way to bring the lost sheep back home than to attack a (perceived) common enemy?
Other than that, it was big news when the Israeli submarine transitted the canal around June 2009, with news reports of an imminent attack by Israel on Iran.
