President Obama has been accused of having double standards after appealing for Americans to sacrifice their holidays just days before his wife and children went on a costly skiing trip.
First Lady Michelle Obama and daughters Malia and Sasha are said to be on a 'private family trip' to Colorado for Presidents' Day Weekend...
Although the Obamas will pay for a portion of the skiing trip, taxpayers will still shoulder many of the costs.
'I don't know whether to laugh or cry,' said one of the president's most outspoken critics, conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh. 'He's got the single largest deficit in the history of the country and he's trying to tell us that we really cut back here.'

Probably right. However, we have a President telling Americans “we have to make sacrifices, forego that vacation, not eat out for dinner, etc”. While he and his family never blink an eye at jaunting off for vacation. Bush if you remember spent xmas holidays at camp david so the agents and others who protect the pres, could spend it with their own families.
Not this Pres. Tell me what has he sacrificed for this country? Has he cut back on the 28 balls he has held at Christmas in lieu of the deficit, the unemployed, people losing their homes, not being able to afford presents?
I want a President to “sacrifice” and “walk with us” during our hardships. Mr. Obama has not sacrificed for his country....
And yet they won’t go to church because it creates too much chaos.
That's fine. Of course, that then means that the only people who will be able to run for and actually function as President will be the mega-wealthy - the Romneys, the Trumps, etc, etc. Not exactly what I want or what I think would be good for the country, but I certainly understand your position, now.

So you fail to point out the hypocrisy of our current President to ‘sacrifice and forego vacations and dinners out” while he fails to do the same.
Presidents do take vacations, I have no problem with that. But this President smacks all of us in the face during one of the of most critical financial times in our history(next to the depression).
If he said, we are foregoing vactions, or cutting back vacations out of respect for Americans who are going through difficult times, he would get my praise. But he has failed to do so....
I don’t recall Bush asking folks to forego vacations, dinners out, etc during hard-times. Most of his vacations were at the Ranch, where he also worked as President. he also gave up Golf during the war.
Name one thing Obama has sacrificed for Americans citizens and the debt of this country?

Had an analogous thing like that happen to me. In my old job, my manager, a liberal democrat gave me a rash of $h!t when I wanted to take two weeks off. He was against me taking two weeks and even didn’t like it when I took a week. I was told that he preferred me to take a day here and a day there. Of course the @$$hole took two weeks and went to Cape Cod.
Hypocrisy is their middle name. Do as I say and not as I do !
