Ok Freepers what's the Response

Posted on 02/20/2011 8:09:40 PM PST by PaulZe

I got this email from my liberal friend of mine. Before I respond I present it to my fellow Freepers for opinions on how best to respond:

Nelda Elder posted this on the Washington Post's Facebook page. She's from Kansas, and looks to be in her mid to late 50's. She uses the term "teabagger". But do remember that NOT everyone knows this can also mean a sexual act; it's not exactly a common one. I didn't know it; I'm betting she doesn't either. It's just easier to say "Teabagger" than "TeaPartier" or whatever description they're using now:

"The Teabagger gets up at 6:00am to prepare his morning coffee.

He fills his pot full of good clean drinking water because some liberal fought for minimum water quality standards.

He takes his daily medication with his first swallow of coffee. His medications are safe to take because some liberal fought to insure their safety and work as advertised. All but $10.00 of his medications are paid for by his employers medical plan because some liberal union workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance, now The Teabagger gets it too.

He prepares his morning breakfast, bacon and eggs this day. The Teabagger's bacon is safe to eat because some liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat packing industry.

The Teabagger takes his morning shower reaching for his shampoo; his bottle is properly labeled with every ingredient and the amount of its contents because some liberal fought for his right to know what he was putting on his body and how much it contained.

The Teabagger dresses, walks outside and takes a deep breath. The air he breathes is clean because some tree-hugging liberal fought for laws to stop industries from polluting our air.

The Teabagger begins his work day; he has a good job with excellent pay, medicals benefits, retirement, paid holidays and vacation because some liberal union members fought and died for these working standards. The Teabagger's employer pays these standards because The Teabagger's employer doesn't want his employees to call the union.

If The Teabagger is hurt on the job or becomes unemployed he'll get a worker compensation or unemployment check because some liberal didn't think he should lose his home because of his temporary misfortune.

It's noon time, The Teabagger needs to make a Bank Deposit so he can pay some bills. The Teabagger's deposit is federally insured by the FSLIC because some liberal wanted to protect The Teabagger's money from unscrupulous bankers who ruined the banking system before the depression.

The Teabagger has to pay his Fannie Mae underwritten Mortgage and his below market federal student loan because some stupid liberal decided that The Teabagger and the government would be better off if he was educated and earned more money over his lifetime.

The Teabagger is home from work, he plans to visit his father this evening at his farm home in the country. He gets in his car for the drive to dad's; his car is among the safest in the world because some liberal fought for car safety standards.

He arrives at his boyhood home. He was the third generation to live in the house financed by Farmers Home Administration because bankers didn't want to make rural loans. The house didn't have electric until some big government liberal stuck his nose where it didn't belong and demanded rural electrification. (Those rural Republicans would still be sitting in the dark)

He is happy to see his dad who is now retired. His dad lives on Social Security and his union pension because some liberal made sure he could take care of himself so The Teabagger wouldn't have to.

After his visit with dad he gets back in his car for the ride home. He turns on a radio talk show, the host keeps saying that liberals are bad and conservatives are good (He doesn't tell The Teabagger that his beloved Republicans have fought against every protection and benefit The Teabagger enjoys throughout his day).

The Teabagger agrees, "We don't need those big government liberals ruining our lives."

Quick one...she wouldn’t have any liberties if weren’t for our military, she would be wearing a burqa and be subject to groping at all times.

I would respectfully suggest to the woman that most “teabaggers” are liberals, but tea partiers are conservative.

He wakes at 4:00 a.m. Monday morning, another 80-hour work-week looms and he wonders what a vacation is.

He fills a pot with water and boils it for 10 minutes before making his coffee because liberals diverted infrastructure funds to pet projects. E-coli warnings have been issued again.

He watches his wife take her daily medication and hopes it’s effective. There’s a promising alternative in the works but liberals value animals more than people so the process takes longer. He hopes she’s still here the same time next year.

He prepares his increasingly-expensive morning breakfast. Cereal again today. He can’t afford bacon and eggs because of inflation. Liberals have decided to monetize our debt, that corn belongs in our gas tanks, not in our stomachs and they’ve cut off the water supply to some of California’s once-fertile farmlands, rendering them barren.

He takes his morning shower, reaching for his shampoo. Made in China because liberals have driven manufacturing jobs overseas through over- regulation and taxation. He’s not really sure what he’s putting on his body or what it contains.

He dresses, walks outside and takes a deep breath. The air is crisp, cold and the smell of smoke fills the air. Liberals have blocked efforts to build new power plants so the grid is severely overloaded. Rolling blackouts are the norm and people warm themselves by their fireplaces on days like today.

He begins his work day, hoping his business can survive another month. There is no unemployment check waiting for him if it fails and dozens of families are counting on him to succeed.

At noontime he drives to the bank to make his ever-dwindling deposit. The bank’s unscrupulous practices have been rewarded with his tax dollars. Its executives made generous contributions to unscrupulous politicians. It’s too big to fail but he isn’t.

He runs the numbers through his head again. If his calculations are correct and his family goes without a paycheck this week, he has enough to meet payroll, cover taxes, insurance and all of his other operating expenses.

On his way back to work to make his tax payments he flips on the radio to learn that, despite receiving massive bailouts, Fannie and Freddie are still in big trouble. Foreclosures continue unabated. And student loans are a looming disaster. A liberal calls in to say that he’s greedy and needs to sacrifice more.

He drives home from work past the dairy farm he grew up on. When his father died they couldn’t afford the taxes so they sold it off. He hears that the new owner is struggling.

Liberals are saying that milk spills need to be treated like oil spills and cow farts are killing the planet. The new owner says one more regulation or tax will likely drive him under. But liberals are prepared to blame rising dairy prices on corporate greed.

He finally arrives home in his SUV which was vandalized by a liberal sometime during the day. Liberals say he doesn’t need an SUV and that has no right to drive such a big car because it, too, is killing the planet. Or maybe it was the Gadsden Flag or Choose Life stickers that made a liberal mad. But he’s happy to see his family.

Before heading off to bed he checks his email where he finds a letter sent to him by a friend. In it, he learns that his liberal friend has reserved a special name for bad men like him—The Teabagger.

If I received an email such as this, I would simply do what you did and post on FR and after a few hours, send her the link to the article you posted.

She might just pass out from reading all of the “hate” generated off the site in response to her “hate mail.”

Remember, stupidity can’t be fixed.

This is far too easy...

I will start with the first one and you should be able to finish the rest...

"The clean water for the coffee you claim some liberal is responsible for is so laden with chemicals like chlorine and fluoride (add worse) people must either filter the water in their homes or buy bottled water or risk their health. Further the reason the water systems are so broken down and poorly run is due to liberals in our government spending money like a drunken sailors and allowing government water utility workers to unionize and gouge the taxpayers for higher and higher pay and benefits while the water gets worse and worse!"

I’m in the same basic dilemna as the poster -
The woman I’ve been seeing - and have some serious feelings for - is a PROGRESSIVE LIBERAL.

UGH.

I love everything else about her, but our politics are oil and water.

The last sentence of this account should be “And then the government ran out of money”.

How about deleting the email and redirecting their address to the garbage folder for a start.

He is happy to see his dad who is now retired. His dad lives on Social Security and his union pension because some liberal made sure he could take care of himself so The Teabagger wouldn't have to.
The Tea Partier is deeply concerned for his parents, who didn't save for their retirements and could become destitute when the union pension fund has to admit that got half of its money to the mafia to fund a casino that went belly up because of skimming. And is gravely concerned for both his parents and his children, because the cash flow of Social Security went negative even earlier than expected because of the Pelosi economy. Where is the money to come from for Social Security? The liberal would say, "From the Trust Fund, of course" - but the Tea Partier knows that the government "borrowed" the money from the SSTF - and spent it. Which means that the SSTF bonds are merely instructions to get the money from the US Treasury - exactly as if the SSTF didn't exist.

So Social Security is a time bomb about to crash down on the federal budget, and that will either destroy the economy or the Social Security system - and if the Pelosicrats prevent sensible adaptation it will do both. Bernie Madoff would have been so proud if he could have kept his scam afloat half as long as the Pelosicrats have levitated their confidence swindle!

Continuing my #111,
The rest of the claims in the piece generally take for granted that without pervasive government regulation everyone would viciously take advantage of everyone else, and there would be no cooperation among the people at all.

The reality is quite otherwise; people naturally tend to self organize to take care of communal problems. And the tendency of such organizations to become self-interested does not disappear simply because you call them a "government" and give them monopoly power.

Amen! Been there and done that! You have to own a business to appreciate that statement.

103, that was a brilliant chain-smash! Even better than my effort, and I smash any type of chain letter, and get a particular pleasure at debunking those from liberals since they are always ridiculing the non-left for every far-right chain email that comes along.
