Were they given orders to remove or not. If given that order did they refuse it.

The chief would not be in the union nor would the management of the state patrol.

The capitol police is just a small force I am sure the state troopers would be doing the most work.

The decision is not for the police to make they would need a lawful order from the governor.

From what I just saw on FNC the "protesters" are college aged students. I guess you don't have to go to school at UW Madison. No surprise there. It is a liberal bastion from hell.

Most of us from IL make jokes about Wisconsin but the people outside of the liberal bastions of Milwaukee and Madison are great people.

These are college student agitators who are either ditching class or are just bums paid by SEIU to sleep in their sleeping bags in the Capitol.

Last night I was furious and wanting to see the bums arrested and beaten with clubs but after thinking about it I agree with the other FReepers who say it is good they are staying. It shows that they DONT WORK!!! They are professional agitators!!!

Scott Walker and the Repubs are going to have to get control of this situation and the only way to do it is to split the removal of collective bargaining off the budget repair bill and pass it as a stand alone. Then everything else becomes moot. There is no longer a reason for the runaway Dems to stay away. The mob may remain, but they would be on shaky ground as their purported reason for being there would no longer be valid. Their continued presence would be seen as threatening.

The Governor is CIC of his National Guard. I would declare martial law. Call the NG out and clear out this mess. This is1 getting ridiculous. Wisconsin needs order- not teachers screaming like three year olds after someone took their candy.

So in a state that is not tea party friendly would you like the tatics that all are asking to use against these protestors be use against tea party protests.

Remember the people have a right to assembly and bring grievance's against the government if they are not doing so peacefully then harder action could be taken.

1. Lock the interior doors, including the restrooms.
2. Turn off the heat, turn off the water.
3. Don’t allow any more people to come in.

They’ll all be gone within 48 hours.

The problem here seems to be that the police are actively supporting the protesters and will do none of those things you listed to remove them. The police seem to be simply defying orders. I am guessing the capitol building workers are also unionized and supporting the protesters as well.

Apparently Walker and the Republicans decided not to force the issue. It looks to me like they backed down. There might be a good reason for them to do that, but whatever the case it gives the protesters a win and further momentum.

Lock the doors from the outside. Keep all media outside. These self-appointed “martyrs” would be out in a flash. Media coverage is cheese to these attention-starved rats.

I’ve got the perfect solution. . . Put Rush Limbaugh’s program on an intercom. Guarantee they will evacuate within minutes. : )

You’re correct. Any perceived use of force by the authorities to get these people to leave would be portrayed as Libya in Madison by the cable networks. Which is exactly what the organizers of this event want.

Putin’s squads gassed the whole dam theater and it wasn’t just some of the hijackers who didn’t wake up

But hey, killing a few hostages was necessary to stop the impudent hijackers who were challenging state authority

In Russia (and some other 3rd world hellholes) I don’t know which is more terrifying, being taken hostage, or being rescued

No comparison, these white wine wannabe bolsheviks in Wisconsin are make-believ martyrs and everyone knows it. They actually think we’re going to accept their beliefs that governor asking them to pay 5% of their healthcare and 10% toward their pensions is equivalent to Qadaffi sending his MiGs and tanks against the people

There are off duty police among the protesters. They are union too, and they know that if the other public-sector unions are crushed, it's only a matter of time before the same collective-bargaining rules are applied to police unions too.

Plus the chief of the Capital Police is likely a Democrat.

"Are the state police unionized?"

That's a KEY part of the communist/progressive/socialist/Democrat agenda....

They've infiltrated the law enforcement, safety forces, and of course, the indoctrination camps called Public Schools.....

That's why the 2nd Amendment is the next target, along with bolstering their numbers with illegal aliens, who will CONTINUE to be at their mercy with handouts, same as the black population.

For those in America who don't understand what's happened; just keep turning on the TV to listen to the propoganda machine of the State Run Media.
