QUINCY — It was a routine call for Quincy police about two homeless men fighting. Hussain Al-Hussaini was arrested. The victim was taken to the hospital.
Then came the surprise. Readers commenting on a story about Wednesday’s arrest on The Patriot Ledger’s website noted that a man with the same name was mentioned prominently in a book about the deadly bombing of an Oklahoma City federal building in 1995.
By Thursday afternoon, police had contacted the FBI and spoken to the book’s author.
Jayna Davis, author of the 2004 book “Third Terrorist: The Middle East Connection to the Oklahoma City Bombing,” said she asked a Quincy police detective if Hussain Al-Hussaini, the man police arrested, had a tattoo of an anchor with a snake wrapped around it. He did. Police sent her a photo of him.

I think there was an image from an ATM camera or security camera of a man, in the immediate vicinity of the Ryder truck, who could not be accounted for (that is to say, no one could identify him or explain his presence, and he couldn’t be found by investigators). By his physical appearance he might have been Middle Eastern origin.

The FBI later convinced the witnesses that they were mistaken and McVeigh was alone. There was no explanation for the security tape, but as you may recall, they canceled the hunt for John Doe #2.

I joined FR right about this time. I remember links to OK State Police transcripts specifically mentioning a ME looking man and the Ryder truck. I still believe Timothy McVeigh was fast-tracked just to bury this.

Yes and Jayna Davis (KTOK), Laurie Mylroie, Carol Elizabeth Howe, and Jerry Bohnen (news director KTOK) were all knowledgeable and on top of this at several levels.
This was a Slick Willie coverup to save face on intelligence failure and to hang the blame on the then blooming militia movement. It worked for him then, hope it all comes out now.
They were also in an awful hurry to bulldoze the building and bury the rubble. You would think they would want to do some forensic investigation of the blast site before demolitioning the building, but no. I've never seen such haste in destroying a crime scene.

and to get the blame placed on those who were grumbling about government abuse of authority ala Waco and Ruby Ridge, and who could be associated with people like McVeigh.
Didn’t McVeigh get executed under Bush? I seem to recall thinking that he chose to take the side of “government does no wrong”, than the side of truth in this.

Yes, but it helped that it was a Federal case (fewer appeals) and McVeigh didn’t have as many appeals open to him.

Timothy McVeigh was executed on June 11th 2001, exactly 90 days before the terrorist attacks of 9/11.
And Al Green a Texas Democrat was yelling about the Ku Klux Klan and yelling “You haven’t suffered...” at the hearings Mr.Peter King has asked for. The distraction being an attempt
to dilute the issue into meaningless pap. Yet here we have what appears to be John Doe #2 (perhaps) and a Muslim contact in the OKC bombing.If our American Presidents were not already subject to Islam we might discover the truth before they slay us.
Has America ever had a Strong Democratic President? Not in my lifetime ( with the possible exception of John Kennedy ) And there is always at least one exception to the rule. and Kennedy did manage to get himself snuffed-at any rate he is the only possible strong Democrat I can think of. And the only thing strong about LBJ was his desire to pee in the Rose Garden and expose himself to the ladies that came to visit the WhiteHouse. Most every Democrat I can recall seems to have been strong in their Contempt for the WhiteHouse and for our way of life.
