Four branches of the military have begun sending training material to 2.2 million active and reserve troops as a prelude to opening the ranks to gays, with instructions on, for example, what to do if an officer sees two male Marines kissing in a shopping mall.
Key themes are that sexual orientation will no longer be a bar to service, that all service members must respect each other, and that the partners of gay troops will not receive the benefits of heterosexual spouses.
“We are going to make [gay ban] repeal training expeditiously,” said Maj. Joel Harper, an Air Force spokesman at the Pentagon. “It’s great training.”

My mother is 77 and she is in such a state of depression most of the time that I fear she will just give up. She grew up in the most innocent of times (although evil was busy working behind the scenes even then). But the bible clearly indicates that ‘we’ are not of this world and now, I truly feel that way. Like a foreigner in my own land.

Now, homosexuals want public validation of their life-style by the Catholic Church and it simply isn't going to come in the form they want. If there are civil provisions for these committed gays, then I say good on all of us for our tolerance, but don't expect a high-five from Catholics or a hired sky-writer to spell it out in the Heavens. Is the officer with his boyfriend or not?
Is there any visible tongue action?
Is one of them wearing a collar?
Can you see his gun?
Are they re-enacting the sailor kiss from Life Magazine?

I think he said that the tier 3 training will be available to family members, if they wish to attend. That might be post-specific, though.
The “brass” are likely to be the ones who come out first.

I spent 20 years in the Army. During that time, I met a handful of soldiers, none of whom were in a combat arm, who tipped my gaydar. However, during my tenure I ran into dozens of officers who made it scream. Interestingly enough, while the rest of us were protesting the implementation of DADT, many of those same officers were pushing for it. Guilty consciences? Coincidence? Dunno.
I don’t see that happening do you? Keep in mind it is less about homosexuals than the actual goal; which is to destroy our society.
God is the only one that can right this ship. There is only one society (IIRC) in the Bible that was spared destruction by the Lord and that was Ninaveh. So it is possible.
Why doesn’t the House of Representatives just grab the bull by the horns and defund implementation of this damn policy?
