Op-Ed: Obama Hiding True Motives for War From American People
Fox Nation ^ | March 22, 2011 | Stanley Kurtz

Posted on 03/25/2011 5:29:07 AM PDT by opentalk

Obama doesn’t tell you what he’s thinking. He keeps his motives to himself. Cherished long-term ideological goals are advanced as pragmatic fixes to concrete problems in the present. Now we’re seeing the familiar domestic pattern in foreign policy as well.

Few Americans realize that Obama has had a longstanding interest in multilateral efforts to combat war crimes and genocide. Obama would like to see a more constraining international legal regime on war crimes, even at the cost of national sovereignty, not to mention the blood and treasure of the countries doing the enforcing. In general, Obama has said little about his larger foreign policy goals.

...In 2005, Obama contacted Power after reading her book on genocide. There followed a long conversation, after which Power left Harvard to work for Obama, quic‘kly emerging as his senior foreign policy advisor.

...Most of the commentary on Libya has focused on the tension between Obama’s apparent desire to displaceQaddafi and his reluctance to admit to it. But the chief reason for this intervention is the one that’s staring us in the face. Obama dithered when it was simply a matter of replacing Qaddafi, yet quickly acted when slaughter in Benghazi became the issue. What Samantha Power and her supporters want is to solidify the principle of “responsibility to protect” in international law. That requires a “pure” case of intervention on humanitarian grounds. Power’s agenda would explain why Obama acted when he acted, and why the public rationale for action has not included regime change.

Yet Obama has so far been reluctant to fully explain any of this to either Congress or the American public, perhaps because he realizes that the ideological basis of his actions would not be popular if openly admitted.

The goal is to have Israel crushing a Palestinian revolt and then crush Israel. Power is an agent of Soros.

Col. Kurtz: Are my methods unsound?
Capt. Willard: I don’t see any method at all, sir.

Apocalypse Now

I think this editorial gives Premier Hussein far too much credit. I don’t think he’s smart enough about anything to have a meaningful plan to follow in Libya, or any of the many domestic troubles we have now.

I recall from just after his Immaculation, Premier Hussein said that all he intended to do was “provide the vision” of how things should be and that he would surround himself with people who would fill in the details of that vision.

You see the result of that philosophy in the ongoing debacle in Libya, the stubbornly high unemployment and the size of the debt, just to mention a few. There is no Leadership from the Regime, because Obama is incapable of leading. We all have known people who were likable and work hard but will always be followers because they are too incompetent to be a leader. That’s who’s sitting in the White House.

There is no spoon.

We don't know who this guy is, but we gave him all the power in the world. And he is using that power to support our enemies.

BUMP.

Rush has been lamenting that no one will go after Barky’s IDEOLOGY.

I know, we’ve been cowed into not talking about communist sympathies, much less Satanic ones, because we’ll look “kooky”.

How many of you think it’s not kooky to point out ‘bammer’s Communist sympathies, but would think it kooky to point out his willingness to do Satan’s bidding?

from The Rise of Samantha Power and the risks for the American- Israel relationship

--One more clue to Power being the promoter of the R2P concept within the Obama administration is her history. She opened a symposium put on the by the International Coalition for The Responsibility To Protect (ICR2P) as recently as November, 2010, with a keynote address

You are a better “man” than I. I turned him, and all the other “conservative” talkers, off 3 years ago during the primaries. The only time I listen to any of them is when I’m traveling.

“What’s next—will Obama launch Tomahawks against our own forces in Afghanistan?”

Don’t put it past this treasonous sob poser. The faster he can destroy this country, the happier he’ll be. And he has to do it quickly because some of his koolaid drinkers just might awaken from their stupor.

After being educated by Mark Levin, it seems the conservatives who are focusing on the war being “illegal” are wasting time and credibility on ignorance of the Constitution

and those wanting to use this evolving war to challenge obama’s birth, are wasting precious time and energy in the here-and-now, over an issue the Congress and courts have demonstrated an unwillingness to proceed. On the birther issue, it seems it is up to we the people, to protect ourselves, by not reelecting this man in 2012.

In 2012, we can go to our polling places in fire houses and schools and community centers, and we can overthrow the obama government.

Meanwhile, to stop the madness of his ruinous policies, we must insist that our Congress act, and critically evaluate obama’s competence to hold the power he holds, and strip him of it by impeachment if necessary

I do. But I don’t think any of it matters if he’s illegitimate to begin with. There are far too many questions about not only his birth certificate - but all of his papers. I mean, we actually have the president of the United States running around using someone else’s social security number. That is illegal.

When a President acts criminally or against the interests of the American people it is up to our elected representatives to begin impeachment proceedings. Sadly for us we have no politicians with the courage or foresight to do so.Our Nation's sovereignty is in dire peril and they do nothing.

gathering NATO as a force to “protect citizens” of the region in a “humanitarian” operation, may just set those forces in place to be used against Israel, eventually, eh

Certainly the “UN” as a collection of despots, could easily demand it. And we have seen that this administration is led and ruled by ideologues and bureaucrats who have long believed the UN and “international law” to be greater than the US and US law.

who could have thought the prophecies of this happening, this future coalition against Israel, would develop so rapidly

Beck pointed all this Stephanie Power stuff in great detail yesterday. But, of course, he’s a nut case, right?

My concern also is that in his hatred for Israel, Obama is motivated by a desire to unify the Arab world under islamism, theorizing that only disunity has thwarted the Arabs in their self-determination, i.e. annihilation of Israel.

The articles of a year or two ago about his abiding hatred of colonial states and their progeny also goes a long way toward explaining his long-term goals.
