To no ones surprise, Barack Obama announced earlier today that he will seek a second term in the 2012 election, complete with promotional video featuring demographically diverse voters just like one and I. Perhaps more surprising was the degree of enjoyment that Daily Show host Jon Stewart took in ruthlessly ridiculing the Obama video, and yes, his failed promises of transparency in his first term.
As weve noticed before, when it comes to this White House, Stewart is not necessarily the strict left-of-center ideologue that hes made out to be by right-of-center commentators; The Daily Show has mined the alleged hypocrisies, gaffes and foibles that have come from this administration for strong comedic material. But the following clip appears to be a tad harsher, perhaps foretelling a critical narrative for the coming election coverage?

“To no ones surprise, Barack Obama announced earlier today that he will seek a second term in the 2012 election”
I have heard repeatedly that this was not going to happen and that 0bama would not be running in 2012. In fact I have $100 donation to FR riding on him being the Dem nominee.

And yet, these liberal troglodytes will mindlessly vote for Obama in droves next November.

That video was devastating in its attack on Obama.
Like his humor or not, you've got to give Stewart a lot of credit here. If only the rest of the MSM would open their eyes as well.

Stewart is NOT complaining that Obozo is too liberal. Stewart is complaining that Obozo has not been liberal enough.

That was my thought. He's criticizing Obama because he [Stewart] is a left-of-center ideologue.

"And yet, these liberal troglodytes will mindlessly vote for Obama in droves next November. Of course...Stewart has to get his jabs in against obama now, so at the height of the 2012 campaign he'll be able to go full-bore against the Repubs, and still be able to dodge any criticism showing video to prove "I also made fun of obama."

Stewart is complaining that Obozo has not been liberal enough. You're right. But the bottom line is that Stewart is calling Obama a liar and a fraud.
Regardless of why Stawart is doing this, it'll take away some enthusiasm for Obama on the far left, and that's just great with me.

Exactly. The complaint by the Hollyweird Leftists who are now bashing the Obammunist (Matt Damon comes to mind) is that he's "too Republican". Yeah. Really.

No one should be fooled into thinking Jon Leibowitz has an ounce of conservatism in him. He may make fun of the Kenyan periodically, but he is still a liberal douchebag who will do anything to get Barry reelected.

THIS is GREAT COMEDY. I give Stewart mad props for both subject matter and delivery.

Jon Stewart is a hard core liberal, but I can just imagine the hate mail he will be getting from the true believers, who think Obama is their modern incarnation of Mohamed.
And you know what Muslim true believers do to the apostates who dare to criticize Mo.

Stewart is a gutless poseur.
He's discovering how hard, and how not funny, playing defense is.
The vein of comedy ore is rich in Obamaville, and he's waited a long time to mine it.
No props from me. He's just waiting for a Repub to emerge to oppose Precious Reader, then it'll be all "he so elegant" all the time.
