I don’t understand a mentality that would subvert EVERYTHING to rectify minor flaws in a system so smoothly functioning that it’s the peerless example to the world.

During the siege of Leningrad people were starving in the streets. The local Commie political hacks called in a famous composer and demanded he write a concert to lift people’s spirits.
