Jury finds that Jones's protest would breach peace

DETROIT (WXYZ) - The jury has found that a proposed protest by Quran-burning pastor Terry Jones outside the Islamic Center of America in Dearborn, the largest mosque in the United States, is likely to breach the peace and incite violence.

The jury has been debating since 3:30 p.m .Thursday. The main issue of the trial was whether or not Jones' main purpose was to say or do something that would incite violence.

Most media consumers it will conclude that the pastor was planning to start a fire outside of a mosque and rationalize it away.

The liberal motto. The jury was WRONG in so many ways. Does this set the precedent that anything that offends me I can use as an excuse to commit acts of violence?

Here's a thought: JUST SHOW UP AND DEMONSTRATE WITHOUT A PERMIT. There is no requirement to obtain a permit in the 1st Amendment.

This wasn't a permit hearing. This was (besides a circus) a "peace bond" hearing. He lost. Consequently, he has been legally restrained from visiting the mosque, or its adjoining property. That, of course, is absurd and SURELY won't withstand appellate review.

It would be interesting what would happen if he did show up. Would they arrest him, per the terms of the peace bond, and if so, then what? He could, because of his confinement, then file a habeas petition with the federal government. In fact, that might be an effective strategy.
