The release of President Obama’s “long-form” birth certificate has not satisfied many so-called birthers who question the conditions of the president’s birth and his eligibility to hold office. Here is a roundup of the new conspiracy theories cropping up in response to the White House release:
It still says ‘Certificate of Live Birth’
Noun-adjective ordering is apparently a problem for Sharon Guthrie, legislative director for a Texas state legislator who has introduced a bill requiring proof of citizenship from presidential candidates. She tells Slate.com:
“What I’ve seen online, what they produced today, still says certificate of live birth across the top. . . . We want to see a ‘birth certificate’. . . . The one that we have that says ‘birth certificate’ is from Mombassa, Kenya, with his footprint on it. He has still not produced an American birth certificate.”
Guthrie is referring to a document included in a lawsuit filed by dogged birther Orly Taitz, a document even broadly sympathetic blogs like WorldNetDaily have reported as a fraud.
Obama is still a dual citizen, and thus ineligible for the presidency
Speaking of WND, the site run by avowed birther Joseph Farah is reacting cautiously to the White House release, arguing that even if the document is genuine, it doesn’t answer questions about whether Obama had dual citizenship through his father, and whether that Constitutionally precludes him from being president:
If the document proves valid, it could answer the questions raised by those who have alleged he was not actually born in Hawaii. But it also could prove his ineligibility because of its references to his father. Some of the cases challenging Obama have explained that he was a dual citizen through his father at his birth, and they contend the framers of the Constitution excluded dual citizens from qualifying as natural born citizens.
Joseph Farah, editor and chief executive officer of WND, the only news agency that has waged a relentless investigative campaign on questions swirling around the Obama’s eligibility for nearly three years, was elated at the turn of events.
“We’re gratified that our work has begun to pay off,” he said. “The certificate of live birth is an absolutely vital foundation for determining constitutional eligibility of any president. We look forward to reviewing it like so many other Americans do at this late date. But it is important to remember there are still dozens of other questions concerning this question of eligibility that need to be resolved to assure what has become a very skeptical public concerning Barack Obama’s parentage, his adoption, his citizenship status throughout his life and why he continues to cultivate a culture of secrecy around his life.”
The PDF released by the White House contains multiple “layers”
Multiple Photoshop and image analysis buffs — mostly amateur, and comprising both birthers and non-birthers — have pointed out that the PDF document released by the White House contains multiple image “layers” superimposed atop each other.
The argument here is that the multiple layers are evidence that the document has been purposefully doctored. Our tech guru Nate Goulding writes about why that is almost certainly not the case here.

So-called “birther queen” Orly Taitz told TPM that while the release is a “step in the right direction” she is still suspicious of what she says is anachronistic language on the birth certificate:
“Look, I applaud this release. I think it’s a step in the right direction,” so-called “birther queen” Orly Taitz told me in one of her many media interviews this morning. “I credit Donald Trump in pushing this issue.”
But she still has her suspicions. Specifically, Taitz thinks that the birth certificate should peg Obama’s race as “Negro” and not “African.”
“In those years … when they wrote race, they were writing ‘Negro’ not ‘African’,” Taitz says. “In those days nobody wrote African as a race, it just wasn’t one of the options. It sounds like it would be written today, in the age of political correctness, and not in 1961 when they wrote white or Asian or ‘Negro’.”
If these early reactions are any indication, birtherism is not going away any time soon.

Further, it may have been enough to convince Lieutenant Lakin to continue following orders of deployment as he had done so many times, honorably, as a decorated veteran would do and does.

This settles nothing and I want to see the one he found among his mother’s belongings when she passed in 1995, as well the one that is sealed in his admissions for kindergarten and preschool.

It’s obvious that another forged document wasn’t released by accident. There is some sort of strategy going on. I don’t think it’s going to work out according to Zero’s plan, though.

These are the first fifty that come to mind, given the time I could come up with another 50 at least (I thought of another ten in the two minutes since I stopped listing), but it is getting close to dinner and I am pretty hungry.

Now they tell us, nope COLB-II is the genuine authentic for-real this time birth certificate.

Umm...there have been MANY court cases on this issue. Most if not all have been thrown out by the courts for “lack of standing” on the part of the plantiffs. That should change now as we have the definitive document proving Obama is not an NBC by the most accepted definition.
In short the courts have been avoiding getting involved by using “lack of standing”. I don’t think that’s going to continue to work. This will be decided in the Supreme Court.
Hell, the guy could have posted a page out of the 1961 funny papers, and the Hawaiian government agencies wouldn’t have said boo about it.
I guess the only real question here is if all birth certificates in the day were titled certificate of live birth. If not, then this document is still suspect.

They are both authentic. 2 years ago he released the Certification of Live Birth (aka short form). It is a computer generated abstract of the original record, certified by the State Registrar as authentic. Yesterday he released the Certificate of Live Birth (aka long form). It is a true copy of the original record, certified by the State Registrar.
If his mother was an American citizen, then he was a dual citizen at birth since the father listed on the COLB was a subject of the British Crown at the time of his birth.
Then it has been reported that his Indonesian stepfather, Lolo Soetoro, adopted him and became his legal guardian. Adoption would have meant instant Indonesian citizenship — and Indonesia is a country that does not recognize dual citizenship.
Dual citizenship would have been the kiss of death for the Framers regarding a person's eligibility to serve as POTUS — on the basis of the potential for divided loyalties/divided allegiance; because a dual citizen is subject to the laws of not one, but two sovereign governments, and is responsible for compliance with both sets of laws. If there is a conflict between the two sets of laws, which does the dual citizen follow, and which does he ditch?
I don't know whether Obama is a dual citizen of Great Britain or a dual citizen of Indonesia (which from Indonesia's point of view is impossible.)
But what seems very likely to me is that Obama is NOT qualified for the Office he holds, regardless of the dual citizenship question. For unless his father is someone other than the one named on his COLB, one of his parents — at least — was not an American citizen.
Thus he is is NOT a "natural-born citizen of the United States," and thus illegitimately "occupies" the Office of POTUS. There's another word for this: Usurper.
The only way around this problem is to redefine what "natural-born citizen" means. And of course, there are plenty of folks trying to do that right now — Obama's enablers mainly. They want us to define "natural-born citizen" as equivalent to the Fourteenth Amendment definition, "born on U.S. territorial soil" in effect, regardless of the citizenship status of one's parents.
This would totally invert the historical understanding of what "natural-born citizen" means: It means that one is born with the American citizenship of his (two) parents, and is presumed to hold it unless it is affirmatively revoked upon attainment of the age of majority (18).
The Fourteenth Amendment seems to say that the child is the offspring, not of human parents, but of American soil itself. If the former are not American citizens, then the default position is to grant citizenship based on American birthplace. This is totally nutz.

In another thread, I read that tv host Hannity said that Hawaii official Onaka had put the bound book with Obama's long form birth certificate in his personal office in a very secure safe.
(Onaka is the name stamped on the front of Obama's long form birth certificate.)
How about this suggestion: Obama and Hawaii officials allow a small group of 4 to 6 reporters representing the major news media---like FoxNews, CBS, CNN,NBC, and ABC----to enter Onaka's office to view, touch, and photograph Obama's long form birth certificate as they pleased.
As I see it, if Obama and Onaka would allow reporters to view Obama's long form birth certificate in Onaka's office, that would go a long way to verify that the long form birth certificate that Obama released to the public on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 is authentic.

They cant be. Many birthers have dedicated over 2 years of their lives to see Obama proved was never POTUS. They put all their eggs in one basket.
It makes more sense to believe that the state of Hawaii and Obama have pulled off the greatest hoax of all time, with the assistance of FNC and National Review.
Oh, and they created a OBC that while it could of been made by scanning an image of a document, converting it to a PDF, optimizing that PDF, and then by opening it up in Illustrator which creates layers. But it was instead created by putting a number of crude forgeries together in this layered PDF hoping no-one would check it out on the internet. But they were wrong!
I say we tie the debt limit vote to this issue:)
