While I watched an arrogant Obama report that bin Ladin had been killed, I couldn't help think how timely this was for the boy socialist. The media and Obama said the awesome job of our special forces had to wait for exactly the right momment to go. When all the pieces where in place. Obama knows that America is throwing up his socialist agenda. Was this the right moment for Obama also? We shall see if this incident pulls his bacon out of the fire. Maybe temporarily, but this changes nothing.

I’m sure that Chris Mathews and all good liberal “journalists” are getting tingles in lots of unnamed places as they praise Obama for the success of the secret mission to get Bin Laden.
I expect to hear also, that Bush failed to get Bin Laden, and that only the strong determined leadership of Obama allowed us to finish him off.
We’ll see how long the MSM can make this story last.
Maybe this will be Obama’s “Oklahoma City moment”. Tucson was supposed to be that moment, but it didn’t work out as planned by the liberals. So now they will try with this event.
Having said all that, of course we’re all happy that Bin Laden is learning his eternal fate right about now. And that fate is not being with 72 virgins.

I suspect Obama’s popularity will see an uptick. More disturbing is the fact that he used “fear of reprisals” to update our security status to “Red Alert”. This is a brilliant move politically; Obama gets credit for this success *and* another excuse to take our freedoms away. We nabbed the guy; now can we have our civil liberties back?
There will be a ‘spike’ no doubt. But, killing Obama was an act done 10 years too late.
Americans will soon come to grips that killing the SOB has not caused the price of gas to come down, their medical insurance future to improve, their financial future to be more secure, or their job opportunities to improve.
The euphoria will only last a week (if that long), and then the sad reality of the boob still in control of the WH will reappear to everyone once again.

So, what's going down next?
He may get a temporary bump, but it won’t last long.
Most Americans know that this changes nothing in the Middle East or Israel ,it doesn’t help the economy, and it won’t stop the apology tours and the campaigning from our Plane.
It damned sure won’t make gas sell any cheaper or encourage Obama to encourage drilling in our country. It won’t stop the bleeding in the job market, and it wont lower the price of food.
Our boy is standing in the deep doo-doo and crapping to make it deeper.
Still: The Unions, and feminists and baby killers and homosexuals, and Blacks, and entitlement seekers and others being obamaites hurt by his incompetence worship the ground their Messiah walks on.
In a word..nope. I dont think this will benefit Obama either way.
I just find it funny how these nut cases accused President Bush of being behind the 911 attacks, and now they are praising Obama for getting Bin Laden.

I agree. You can bet it’s all he and the media will have left next November. This one even does not balance out with the thousand disasters he is handing us! The media will play it to the max.
I think the numbers will go up for a short time...but it really is all about the economy (as a post-Gulf War Bush 41 found out). I also think killing Osama will make the story last for a shorter time...as opposed to capturing him and constantly parading him around.
He will get a huge bump in the coming days - possibly a 20 point jump, into the high 60s/low 70s. It’s just the way it goes.
But then it will be back to reality with high gas prices, debt, unemployment...
The liberals will milk this for all it’s worth.
But a spike in the polls for Obama? Questionable. While we’re all happy that Bin Laden is learning his eternal fate right now, those opposed to Obama’s various bad policies won’t suddenly now approve of Obama just because of this one great event.
The reported events of how this went down, begs the following question:
- How did OBL get to live in a ‘Mansion’ in a ‘military residential area’ without the Pakis aware of this?
- How did U.S. helicopters get to stage a “secret” raid lasting over 40 minutes without any ‘response’ from Paki military?
Obama will get a bump in the polls, but it will not help him get re-elected. They bump will be long gone by then.
Interestingly, President Bush deserves a lot of credit here. The intelligence that led to Osama’s death came from Gitmo detainees. They identified the trusted Osama courier that led intelligence sources to the compound. President Bush deserves more credit than that pos Obama.
This is not a game changer for Obama in the long run.
I think this is at best a “no-change” event for Obama. Supporters will think Obama didn’t need to kill him because he was not a true threat, and conservatives still won’t trust Obama as the CIC.
When the dust clears, the liberals will still think its unfair that we have too much military power and that we invaded Pakistan without cause. The conservatives will still think Obama is a impotent military leader who just happened to be “present” when our military did the job.
