While I watched an arrogant Obama report that bin Ladin had been killed, I couldn't help think how timely this was for the boy socialist. The media and Obama said the awesome job of our special forces had to wait for exactly the right momment to go. When all the pieces where in place. Obama knows that America is throwing up his socialist agenda. Was this the right moment for Obama also? We shall see if this incident pulls his bacon out of the fire. Maybe temporarily, but this changes nothing.
It probably will give him a temporary bump. I wouldn’t even be surprised if it gave him a temporary positive index on Rasmussen. I don’t see this being the deciding factor for him 18 months from now. A dead bin laden won’t fill your gas tank, get you a job or save us from bankruptcy.
A temporary boost yes. But the next election is going to rest heavily on domestic policy and Obama is a disaster on domestic policy.

What do you think the Lamestream Media would be saying/writing if three years ago President Bush made a late night announcement on a Sunday that “We killed Bin Laden - We cut his brain out and then dumped him in the ocean, per Islamic law.” No photos with a newspaper lying next to the body that shows the date —but I am sure you don’t need that proof - Bush’s word would be enough - Right.....
Obama will get a boost long enough for the anti war crowd who was cheering last night to figure out how little it really means in the war on terror.

I;ve always said, whomever makes the most noise or “swift boats’ the other opponent in the final 3 months will be the victor. The October surprise is and has always been the key.
If the unemployment rate is above 10% and gas is $7, OBL being dead will not matter even if the MSM harps like barking dogs.
The election is far way so be happy that OBL is gone, you almost seem sad that he is being eaten by sharks.
Obama WILL get a big approval poll increase, but will it be enough to get the public to ignore the financial disaster taking place all around them and coast him back into the White House? I think not.
Will he gain somewhat in the polls, probably for a short time, but not for long. Gas and food prices will override OBL.

Even though the Special Forces deserve all the credit, 0bama is going to benefit hugely from this, like it or not. This is an undeniably huge development. Look for at least a 10-point bump in Obama’s approval numbers, at least for the short term.
$4.00+ gasoline,
10%+ unemployment,
trillions of dollars in debt,
food prices skyrocket.
It’s the economy stupid, always has been always will be.
I thought so too until I heard the chants of USA! USA! And there was flag waiving and singing of Gob Bless America. Obama is the anti-American president who won’t even respect the Pledge of Allegiance. Anyhthing that boosts patriotism hurts Obama. Now he can apologize for Osama.
FWIW-I heard “special forces” mentioned, too, but then heard it was Seal Team 6, not that it matters.

But the liberal view, reflected in the MSM, will be that Obama carried out the mission and took out Bin Laden.
A presidential p*ssing contest will be part of the debate. The liberals will say, Bush failed to get Bin Laden, due to Bush’s lack of leadership, intelligence, etc. But their man, Obama, showing such strong leadership, carried out the mission and finished Bin Laden off.
So in comparing presidents, the liberals will say that Bush failed, Obama succeeded. They will over simplify all of it and boil it down to that.

Last week, after months of obdurate refusal to release the original long-form birth document, the Administration finally publishes something different from the other questionable "birth certificates" and this one has major flaws. They point to it and say, "See. This answers all your questions." Less than a week later, on a Sunday night so it will dominate the Monday morning news cycle, they finally run an op at a compound that had been pretty solidly identified by the last administration, use forty Seals in four choppers to do it, destroy one chopper in the effort, and reportedly kill two bin Laden family members (one supposedly OBL) and two couriers, and then dump the body in the sea "to honor Muslim death sensitivities." The proles in the US may buy it, but the Arab Street isn't. The MSM is trying to make our demonstrations look like the Arab Street demonstrations after 9-11. I'm sure Al Jazeera is making the point, in their coverage of infidel celebrations.
We are left with several posibilities:
Obama bin Lyin' is trying to boost his ratings by taking credit for wrapping up a loose end that it looks like could have been done before now, one that the Bush administration had well underway when Obama came aboard, and doing it in such a way that, with his track record, seems dubious, ingenuous and unclear.
It's as though he designs these revelations to look politically expedient and bogus.
