Obama's War on Oil

Why would President Obama want high gas prices? It's a matter of ideology for him. He thinks it's good for the environment for gas prices to be high. The higher gas prices are, the less you will drive.

Also, higher gas prices make his beloved "alternative fuels" more competitive. That is because these alternative fuels are inherently more expensive, and so can't compete with cheaper gas. Note this is not a prescription for easing the financial burden on working people. High gas prices make it more likely you will buy expensive "alternative fuels." But either way, your wallet will still be drained.

RE :”IMHO Constitutional issues always trump matters of moment. When Americans treat The Constitution—in whole or in part— with indifference the battle is lost. Our Constitution, and our commitment to it, are all that is between us and tyranny

Is that old document read anymore? I thought it was filed away with the (Moses) ‘ Ark of Covenent’ at the end of Raisers of the Lost Ark, with the Bible :).

I have encountered something that disturbs me. It's the ‘conservative’ who thinks the constitution is something you turn on when a Democrat is president(they yell constitution alot), and turned off when a Republican president does things they want done. They dont admit this directly of course, it's something you can pick up in constitutional discussions. They dont care that liberals play exactly the same game, libs stopped talking about the constitution January 2009 after yelling 'constitution' for 8 years.
