FLINT (WJRT) -- (05/04/11) -- UPDATE -- A 16 year old who was shot by a homeowner as he entered her house has died.
The shooting happened at around noon Tuesday in the 1900 block of Roselawn near Cloverlawn.
Family members say their mother, in her late 50s, told them a kid was climbing through the window and she warned him she had a gun.
The incident ended with her shooting the intruder.
Neighbors say they heard some shots, and feared the woman who lives in the house got hit. They quickly learned she was fine, but the person trying to break in was not. He is listed in critical condition at a local hospital.
"You hear shots all the time around here," Hiram Brisker said. "Gunshots sound like music around here, OK?"
From his front porch, Brisker tells it how he sees it. "They just that much nerve to break in, in the middle of the day?" he said. "It's either her or him. Case closed."
"She's doing what she had to do to protect herself. She's a great lady. She don't nothing wrong to nobody, one of the best neighbors you could want. They break into her house in the middle of the day, what's she supposed to do?

I do, but it's hard because so many of the decent folks won't speak out against the lesser thugs and criminals.
Maybe a soon-to-be baby daddy just tryin’ to provide...
“He was a good man!” we’ll hear that soon enough.
Of course, we haven’t had the necrotroll sign up lately to claim to know/be personally involved in news we are reading about.

...as well as all the negative comments around here mocking the black race. I know there's a couple black freepers here but for some reason they avoid these threads and hold a low profile in general. Wonder why?
My little town has a gun range nearby so gunshots are as common as the chirping of crickets on a summer evening.
Barbara Billingsley did so much harm to her image when she appeared in that awful movie. I think she is known more for that movie image than ‘Leave it to Beaver’. Shame!
John Lott did something on this. He found that the group that benefited the most from CCW laws were urban minorities. If I recall correctly, it was urban minority women most of all.
It was a great role, in a very funny and iconic film.
Anyone who was that appalled at the movie had to sit through it for a long time before they saw Mrs. Billingsley - and she - no matter what else you thought about the movie - did a great job in that scene.
Waiting for the quote from the dead perp’s family: “He was such a good boy”.
I grew up in Flint, not sure of the neighborhood.

I live about a quarter of a mile from the edge of town and where the farms and ranches start. At night I hear moooo, moooo, moooo, awhoooooo, awhooooo, bam, bam! Dead Coyote.
Then I hear a call on the scanner without fail, the Hippies are calling in gunshots. After all these years they still haven’t figured it out.
Thanks marktwain.
“Ain’t never been no nobody not like me not nowhere”.
LOL, IIRC he was so fast that when he turned his bedroom light off, he could jump into bed, pull up the covers and be sound asleep before the room got dark;)
And he never had a chance to turn his life around, either. She just shot him without giving him a second chance. /sarc
Almost sounds like “ENGBONICS”, a mix between english and ebonics
