The Arab peoples long for freedom. However, the ideology and culture of islam is so deeply entrenched in these countries that real freedom is simply impossible as long as islam remains dominant.
I served in the military for many years, and I still have many friends there - some of very high rank.
We have corresponded about our failures in what was previously known as the "War on Terror." Our first mistake was not identifying properly what we were fighting against. "Terror" is a tactic. We were fighting a war against Islam.
Our second mistake was believing we could win "hearts and minds" of Muslims by pouring Billions and Billions of American treasure into roads, schools, and building for Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan, while our Government made the very conscious decision to absolutely shut out the God of Abraham and Issac from the equation of "winning hearts and minds."
Only God can ultimately change hearts and minds. We played god, we shut out the true God's voice, and we will lose because of that.

Per Geert Wilders other point, that pluralism and multiculturalism are tools of evil, these words greatly reminded me of the prophetic words of Ravi Zacharias who spoke of the dangers of pluralization many years ago.

This is how Rome was defeated. Barbarians kept moving in, joining the army, until you couldn’t tell the Roman army from the barbarian’s army.
Then barbarians became emperors of Rome.
That’s how America is being defeated, with Mexicans and Muslims utilized by the traitors in our midst.
Second, we must end cultural relativism and political correctness. We must repeat it over and over again, especially to our children: Our Western culture...Our laws...Our judeo-christian values are better than islam’s...
Third, we must stop the islamization of our countries...We must stop immigration from non-Western countries, which are mostly islamic countries. We must expel criminal immigrants. We must forbid the construction of new hate palaces called mosques. We must also close down all islamic schools...
Fourth, we must take pride in our nations again.
And fifth, last but certainly not least, we must elect wise and courageous leaders...who have the courage to speak the truth about islam.
First, we're gradually surrendering freedom of speech.
Second, most kids are in public schools where a teacher would be fired instantly for doing what GW suggests.
Third, the media would need less than a week to destroy utterly any politician who advocated what GW suggests. Teachers and politicians openly opposing islam would be removed like wrong-smelling ants in an ant colony. Hardly anyone, even a conservative, is willing to risk losing his livelihood for the sake of his principles.
Fourth, most Americans do NOT take pride in their nation, such pride having been discouraged, ridiculed and denounced intensively for at least 40 years.
Fifth, who's going to elect the "wise and courageous" leaders? The public school graduates? Their teachers? The amnestied illegals of years past? The current illegals who'll soon be amnestied? The "African-Americans" who are overwhelmingly Democrat voters? The Americans on welfare and food stamps? The "muslim Americans?"

Last month, the bishops of Sweden sent out a letter to priests advising them to avoid converting asylum seekers from islamic countries to Christianity, because the converts would risk losing their lives.
The "bishops" of Sweden are more worried about ephemeral earthly lives than everlasting souls. So much can be read into this (e.g., short term outlook, expedience, unwillingness to adhere to the Truth, lack of principle, and so on and so on).
