A Former Opponent of the Death Penalty Now Favors Hanging - by the Penis

It looks like the death penalty will remain an option in the Cheshire home invasion trial, as key lawmakers who supported abolition last year say they will cross over to the other side. Dr. William Hawke-Petit, the sole survivor of a highly publicized 2007 home invasion in which his wife and daughters were followed home, raped and murdered, has led a lobbying effort against abolishing the death penalty in Connecticut.

State Sen. Edith Prague, who voted in favor of abolition last year, said she will switch sides this year. She made a strong statement to watchdog website CT News Junkie. “They should bypass the trial and take that second animal [Komisarjevsky] and hang him by his penis from a tree out in the middle of Main Street,” Prague said.

by his penis

Ancient idea. That would actually be the "drawn" part of "drawn and quartered".

Sadly, it was only when her family was affected that she was moved to change her position. This is the height of self-interest, just like most of the American people.

She looks to be about 65... a slow learner, but at least she finally learned. What’s the saying, “There’s no conservative like a liberal who has been mugged”?

The US has been such a rich and secure country that common sense hasn’t been necessary for the survival of the liberal classes and their families. They’ve had the luxury of a fantasy world. I fear that this luxury will evaporate in the coming decades.

“A Former Opponent of the Death Penalty Now Favors Hanging - by the Penis”

I have often suggested this as a punishment for some sex offenders. It is far more humane than what my father has suggested.

Actually, not. The "drawn" part is when the executioner opened the body cavity and removed the entrails, to be burned before the condemned. The removal of the private parts occurred as soon as the body was cut down from the gallows.

They just don't do "cruel and unusual" like they used to.

I believe it was William F. Buckley (correct me if I’m wrong) who once famously said, “A Conservative is a Liberal who’s been mugged.”

I prefer the manner of revenge exacted on the murderous perp by Gerard Butler in “Law-Abiding Citizen”

It’s a true but sad statement, though man maybe God’s greatest of creations there are some who are so vile that they aren’t worth a dead dog.

hang him by his penis from a tree out in the middle of Main Street,” Prague said.

While painful, this would not deter this animal, or others from committing a crime like this again in the future. Kill the animal, face the evil, confront the predator - and kill them.

Only when he is dead; can we rest assured that THIS animal will never hurt another person again. Another animal might arise from the slime and do something like this again - and once again society will have to use their backbone, face evil; and destroy it.

Capital Punishment has two purposes, a)punishment for the action and b)protection of society from the perpetrator.

My understanding is that they had the victim tied limb to limb by rope to 4 horses. A rope was secured tightly around the privates of the victim, and attached to a fifth horse, who walked forward to draw the entrails from the victim, who then got to watch them burn, if he survived.

THEN, the other four horses walk forward, ripping the body into quarter sections.

I like a more creative method

Clamp their ‘junk’ in a vice, hand them a knife, and set the building on fire

Execution is only a deterrent when it is done while the crime is fresh in the minds of those effected by it.

Let a murderer sit in prison for 20 years before execution and people forget why he was put there. California has 650 people on death row, 98% of them will die a a natural death. How is that a deterrent?

A subject given the death penalty should get a new trial 6 months after the first one. New lawyers, a new judge, a new Jury, if found guilty and sentenced to death a second time he /Her should be executed within 24 hrs.

I can’t imagine the pain, suffering and anguish this poor man had to endure. What a horrific loss. Leave it to we humans to figure creative ways to do despicable things to each other. May the great I AM comfort him and his surviving family.

This is another case where I wonder, “how does God hold his wrath so long,” followed by “I’m glad He is infinitely more compassionate than I am.”
