Washington (CNSNews.com) - Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), when talking to Capitol reporters, said that Fox News makes it difficult for him to garner support for his stance on immigration reform, which includes a pathway to citizenship for illegal aliens already living in the country.
The senator, a member of the Judiciary Committee, said that Fox News using the word amnesty during the 24-hour news cycle has hindered support for his position on reforming the U.S. immigration system, which lawmakers on both sides say is broken.
In todays world, its very hard for bi-partisan agreements to be formed, said Graham, because those who dont like what youre trying to do are able to generate a lot of pushback early on, so this 24 hour news cycle makes it very, very difficult, but not impossible.
Lets talk about immigration. When Fox News is saying amnesty 24 hours a day, it makes it harder for me to get people on my side, he added. When the left, through MSNBC, talks about the tax cuts being a sell-out and going back to Bush policies, it makes harder for our Democratic colleagues.
My statement to my colleagues is even though people are loud, that doesnt mean theyre the majority, Graham continued. So if youre doing things that make sense, just trust the country to figure it out, but in this environment of constant media scrutiny it is very difficult. I dont know how you would have written the Constitution in this environment.

Uber RINO Lindsey Ping
"Republican by day, Democrat by night."
Want on or off this ping list?
Just FReepmail me.
Linda, it’s the gravitas of the loafers.
The senator, a member of the Judiciary Committee, said that Fox News using the word amnesty during the 24-hour news cycle has hindered support for his position on reforming the U.S. immigration system, which lawmakers on both sides say is broken.
Lindsay, you dumbass, a "pathway to citizenship" IS "amnesty". You are proposing to sell American citizenship at a discount!
Look, Lindsay, you guys in the Congress created the "illegal alien" problem. We're asking you to fix it. Yeah, it's "hard". But we're not going to let you take the easy way out.
Asshole.
Why should Fox not inform the voters Leslie Graham
If it’s not one idiot RINO, it’s another.
I’m not necessarily a Fox fan, but Miss Lindsey, you need to shut up right now. Fox does not have to say anything. We all know you want amnesty. Don’t blame them because everyone in the country, except South Carolina it seems, knows exactly what you are and what you stand for. You hate hard working American citizens and you love benefit stealing illegal aliens.
Just leave the country Pansy and take Juan McCain and Obama with you. Until then, just shut up.
[I expect you people in South Carolina to do something about this pansy. He/she/it is getting on my last nerve.]
Notice that he did NOT say FoxNews was wrong by calling it amnesty, just that it made it difficult for him to get support for it.
It IS amnesty. It was amnesty when McCain proposed it. It was amnesty when Bush2 tried to pass it 3 times.
Amnesty by any other name, including Comprehensive Immigration or Pathway to Citizenship, is still amnesty.
gag the queer bastard!
I am having trouble being able to watch Fox or any other News. I just do not believe it. I find myself just flipping in for a few seconds and getting disgusted and turning back to Sports or River Monsters. The only thing I can still take is Rush and FR.
Attention Lindsay Graham:
If they break the law, and you don’t prosecute them for the laws they broke, but ignore it, IT IS AMNESTY!
Being a lawyer, you should know that. Tells me you were as sorry as a lawyer as you are a politician.
Sincerely,
A conservative who would vote for you if you were the only candidate on the ballot.
Sorry Lindsey old boy. They DON’T WANT A PATHWAY TO “CITIZENSHIP”. They want freebies, handouts, jobs, MINORITY STATUS (and all the lawsuits that come with it) and free money!!! Ya gotta try to get in touch with reality bubba!!! Where they come from, they can’t “vote” for crooked and corrupt power hungry politicians who will give them free stuff for their “votes”. Their governments don’t steal from the producers and give to the freeloaders. Only in this dumbass country do people allow that kind of crap to go on. Take that to the bank!
This man is so reprehensible he actually makes me ill.
FULG!
He’s a Republican?
Since when?
Lindsey Graham supports illegal slavery and indentured servitude, and still calls himself a Republican!
1. Seal the borders.
2. Prosecute the slave importers.
3. Direct ICE to prioritize the large backlog of cases of individual legal immigrants, and ignore the requests of those who illegally sold themselves into indentured servitude, slavery, and even worse-those who committed crimes, violent or not, to evade legal immigration requirements.
4. Deny all requests by all non-citizens for any and all social welfare benefits-including non-emergency healthcare, foodstamps, housing, legal aid etc, beyond very temporary and basic emergency situations, before the illegal aliens are repatriated to their country of origin, or otherwise deported
Traitors to the right and idiots to the left.
There’s little chance of the Republic surviving the crossfire.
Lindsey grahmnesty will be gone next election. RINO needs to go.
Note to all illegals. Here is your pathway to citizenship:
Go back to where you came from, get your papers together and apply to come to the United States legally. You may have to wait for some time (you can use this time to learn English), and you may not make it at all; that depends on the reasonable quota for immigrants that we establish and review annually. Other than that, make your homeland accountable for your misery that causes you to break our laws and enter our borders illegally.
For what it is worth, my wife immigrated from the Philippines in 1971. Took almost 18 months for the paperwork to be completed. She is now a very happy and completely legal citizen of our great country (her words).
And many at FNC were establishment amnesty shillers at the time (2007.) They still are, look at FNC Special report and FNC opinion Panels.
