Washington, D.C.—Nevada Senator Harry Reid released the following statement on Republican Sen. David Vitter inappropriately pressuring Interior Secretary Ken Salazar to approve offshore drilling permits:
“I have worked with Minority Leader Mitch McConnell on this issue for weeks and it is wrong for Sen. Vitter to try to get something in return for moving forward on a matter that the Senate has considered routine for more than a century.
“Ken Salazar is extremely well-qualified, hard-working cabinet secretary, and deserves better than to be strong armed while trying to do an important job for the American people.”
The irony is palpable...

Does anyone know the exact date when “totally hypocritical scumbag” was added as a requirement for membership in the Democratic party? I assume it was probably some time before Mr Reid’s entry in politics, but I was curious about the exact year.

But this worm never won the election. It was stolen, starting from when the early voting commenced. The voting machines were tampered with by the SEIU. There were numerous reports of casting votes for Sharron Angle and the cast ballot indicating a vote for Reid. The exit polls on election day had Reid losing.
We need a Republican-controlled Justice Department not headed by some PC-sensitive, get-along-with-the-enemy wimp so this and other of Reid’s affairs can be thoroughly investigated and Reid can be finally sent to the prison cell he so richly deserves.
Pay to play is the Chicago way! Seems like the guy is just being honest; dude take the bribe and pump more oil, whatever it takes to get you to do the job, whats 20k when Americans are hurting?
You know that Vitter is doing something very, very right if Reid is whining like this.
