NOTICE: FR DOES NOT AND WILL NOT SUPPORT ABORTIONIST, GAY RIGHTS PUSHING BIG GOVERNMENT STATISTS FOR PRESIDENT!!

This message is intended for those posters on FR who seem to have missed my prior statements in this regard and insist on advocating for these bastards.

I'd rather shut the place down than be involved in any effort to install abortionist/gay rights pushing RINOS like Romney or Giuliani into the White House!!

Do NOT push this crap on FR. Take your business elsewhere!! And I don't care how long you've been here!!

“Has nothing whatsoever to do with “bedroom behavior.” It’s the public in your face and down our kids throats behavior that is intolerable. Keep it off our public squares, out of our playgrounds, out of our parks, out of our public restrooms, off our streets, out of our schools, out of our churches, off of our TV, out of our movies, out of our judiciary, out of our military, out of our government and out of our faces!! Take it back to your private bedrooms. Thankyouverymuch!!”

So glad you posted this because it’s an important distinction (to me anyway). I use to be a bit ambivilant on the whole homosexual stuff, because I didn’t realize how sick their whole activism wing was until I read about it on FR several years ago. I was never in favor of gay marriage, but felt like you(I think), in that what they did in their bedrooms was none of my business as long as they kept it there. I had no idea what they were doing in our schools, etc. Now it’s plain for all to see on TV and in our society. Their in your face stuff is helping to rot our society from within, undermine our republic, and usher in more socialism.

I was also ambivilant because I have a beloved niece who is ‘gay’. I will never stop loving her...EVER. I had to step up years ago as a mother and father figure for her because my brother was a drunk and her mother was a drug addict..long story that I’d rather not go into. Suffice it to say, she is like a daughter to me and she is family. Thankfully..she is not into the whole homosexual agenda machine and she votes conservative.

Anyway...hope you can understand my real dilemma here. My guess is that there are other FReepers here in the same boat(with family members and/or friends who are gay). You won’t find us in threads making fun of gays or condemning them to hell like some Fred Phelps nut....but neither will you find us in threads supporting the whole homosexual agenda machine or candidates that do.

If you can live with that, then hopefully folks like me can stay around and continue to support FR and everything it stands for. If not, I will respect your wishes and with great sadness take my leave from FR. FR has been a big part of my life and has really helped me clarify my own beliefs through the years and for that, I am eternally grateful. I will always be thankful that I found this place and made so many great FRiends. May God bless you Jim for all you have done for our great republic.

Sorry for the long vanity here, but thought it important to post and clarify.

Kind FRegards,

Pen

Phony baloney "conservative" supporting the homosexual agenda finds itself in the alley behind FR with a burned butt

Take a hike, loser.

I agree. Most of the libertarians that I encounter want to abolish a lot of “morality” laws. I don’t think taking the country any further into the gutter is going to improve things.

Do you really believe that "morality laws" have prevented us from going into the gutter? Do you think that drug laws have reduced the use of recreational drug use? Do you think that sodomy laws reduced the amount of homosexuality?

Democracy is designed for a moral people, but no form of government, nor amount of laws, can make a person, or a people, moral. Sharia is probably the ultimate form of government enforced morality. How's that working out?

Eh. One of the most vehement anti-gay posters here has an openly gay brother. I think she pulls out the “love the sinner, hate the sin” line now and again.

It happens.

In terms of zot, this appears to be a spiral galaxy, and fully deserved.

Interstellar style points awarded.

Oop.

You may have missed, right before the Zot hit ya, that Jim is...you know...the guy who set up the site.

His site, his rules.

Of course, since you just got the Zot, it’s kinda academic for you at this point.

Excellent summary. Now, prepare for the "but they are just the NICEST people and I'd rather have a mormon for a neighbor than"....________________(fill in the blank)

Not so much “hate”, but more “mistrust”. Basically, it’s ‘cause his “religion” is a cult. Men can become God; God was a man. Christ isn’t a Diety. Book Of Mormon has more authority than the Bible. They deny the Trinity. They deny a literal Hell. They believe there are many gods. They baptize the dead. They believe that Jesus and Satan were brothers. They believe in salvation by good works and deeds. The status of women is monumentally misogynistic (Google “licked cupcakes”). That’s the tip of the iceberg.

Evangelicals would rather have America led by Christians, as it was when established in the 1700s.

BTW, all the "Founding Fathers demanded mormon church membership". REALLY!

LDS Link

"Having learned the truth in the spirit world, the Founding Fathers returned to Wilford Woodruff and asked if he would have their temple work done for them so they could have in their lives the same blessing the people living on earth enjoyed," explained Elder Pinnock. "The gospel provides the potential for exaltation for us all. It incorporates all truth, and we must have the vision of this great work and what it does for mankind - both the living and the dead."

You won’t find us in threads making fun of gays or condemning them to hell like some Fred Phelps nut..

That's an interesting comparison for your fellow FReepers. I've personally seen how homosexuality has destroyed families. While you may think it's admirable to support the practice of perversion in the end it will perpetuate their misery. If you really cared you should seek reparative therapy for your niece..no one is born that way.

The RINOs need to be put out to pasture so the GOP can return to it’s conservative roots. It’s almost a case of saving the GOP from itself, but if this cannot be done, then conservatives need to find a third-party (Tea Party) candidate that they can stand behind.

Thanks for the post. It does happen for sure. That’s why I never condemn Dick Cheney for his positions on this stuff. The man has a real dilemma on his hands too, but he is one of the best we have ever had in office imho.

IMHO this is a very well-timed thread.

Agreed. We have much to do from this point on.

Not sure how you took my comments to mean that I was condemning my fellow FReepers or that I somehow ‘support’ perversion, but I am sad that you have taken it that way. You have taken my comments out of context here.

I don’t know many freepers that support Phelps quite frankly, but if you want to talk about perversion, that man is the very definition of perversion imho.

As far as my neice is concerned...your thoughts have been noted.

I have sister who is a homosexual, and I am often on threads that do not "make fun of gays" or "condemn them to hell like some Fred Phelps nut". Nor do I withdraw from the issue. There is another way. One can be concerned and involved on the threads that address this issue and not be one of the above.
