Please make it stop (Sarah hit piece)
Washington Post ^ | June 3,2011 | Greg Sargent

Everyone has already had a grand old time mocking this video of Sarah Palin bungling her Paul Revere history, but I actually think it amounts to quite an eloquent statement. It’s as eloquent an argument as anyone could make that this woman really should not be treated by any of us as anything resembling a presidential candidate until it’s absolutely necessary — which is to say, until she actually runs for president.

I hope you all do know that Quayle was given the card with the misspelling - by the school principal.

That said, I worked in an industry that had many high-fliers, and none of them (all guys) could spell worth a darn. But on the other hand, they could answer any question you asked them, knew enough to find out about things they may not have known, and could speak without a teleprompter.

Personally, I think Palin doesn’t want to be president and is thinking about who she wants to support. But that has the press scared out of their collective wits too.

This kind of sophomoric crap isn’t going to phase her – it only serves to make the author look petty and small. (Put another way, it makes him look like a Wiener)

I think it is more accurate to say they smell a potential candidate they can pull a Dan Quale on.

If that were true, they'd be begging us to nominate her.

I don't see that happening, do you?

Please show me, if you can.

If you can't, then you're either a liar or an idiot.

Remember when Sarah tweeted some of the embarrassing Obama gaffes several months ago? It was comical. These few seconds of fractured speech would have been hailed if said by Obama, without a prompter. It would have been BHO at his finest.

Everyone has already had a grand old time mocking this video of Sarah Palin bungling her Paul Revere history,

Bet no Democrat in Congress and no one from the MSM can tell us about our Constitution, Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights or any of our founding documents. Bunch of elitist frauds and narrow minded socialist twits.

Saran is not scripted, and sometimes makes mistakes. Obama is highly scripted, and still makes mistakes.

I know which one I'm going with.

In my world the sun doesn’t rise and set on Sarah Palin. People, she is human and not worthy of the god-like respect she gets on this website. I think West, Cain and Backmann are just as much if not more worthy of our adoration. Only God is perfect. This woman is human and makes mistakes just like we all do. Stop the worship, PLEASE!

OK, that’s the basic friggin’ IDEA, IIRC, without much handwringing bullsh!t about whether during his ride, he frightened some deer and upset the delicate balance of nature, or got dust in the eyes of some Native American, or other such nonsense;)

I’ll bet you a Weiner on that one! There is no way that Sarah Palin will choose to be nothing more than a cheerleader for others, at a time when we need HER as President. Bob

Thank Goodness that Sarah didn't say that her bus tour was going to visit 57 states.

She should ask some of the reporters if they have the map of the 57 states obozo visited in 2008.

Greg Sargent at the Post has an interesting theory on the real meaning of Obama’s memorial speech (Re: Arizona shooting):

It’s true that Obama stated clearly there that rhetoric didn’t cause the shooting. But these lines are best understood as a set up to the larger point that followed, which is that the shooting confers a moral obligation upon all of us to improve the tone and integrity of our discourse. If Obama had delivered this latter message in isolation, without the set up, conservatives would have rejected it as political, as criticism directed at them…

Even if Obama didn’t say so, his larger mesesage that we all tone it down was mainly — though not exclusively — directed at the right. In a context where prominent conservatives have called accused Obama of not loving America and have called him a socialist, a Marxist, a secret Muslim sympathizer, and a coddler of our enemies, Obama’s insistence that we improve the discourse for the sake of our children and our country was unmistakably aimed mostly at them.

Except she didn’t completely bungle it.

The delivery left much to be desired. The content, not so much. Chances are she had a whole bunch of data crammed into her head during a tour there, and was trying to rattle it all off.

Oh, for shame, poor delivery. At least she didn’t say all that during the National Anthem.

“One of the finest moments of his presidency. Obama didn’t just stand up for the legal right of the group to build the Islamic center. He voiced powerful support for their moral right to do so as well, casting it as central to American identity....Obama directly confronted the demagoguery at the core of much of the opposition to this project....Ultimately, though, Obama’s speech transcends the politics of the moment, and will go down as a defining and perhaps even a breakthrough performance.”
— Washington Post “Plum Line” blogger Greg Sargent in an August 14 posting.

Daily Mail has a similar hit piece up at http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1394039/Patriot-Sarah-Palin-wrongly-explains-Paul-Reveres-midnight-ride-Boston.html

Several comments are posted defending her and at first those comments had by far the most votes which tells me she has much more support than we are being led to believe. Problem is anybody can vote the comments up or down on dailymail without a logon and paid dem operatives will clear their browser cache to be able to vote the defending comments down over and over again.

That’s right! That’s why we don’t expect her to be perfect, only committed, tenacious, courageous and correct on the issues. Sarah has two decades of successful executive experience, and that’s why for me she is head and shoulders above the crowd, even above these excellent people you mention. Bob

This is another one of those Kill Sarah Palin articles, that is meant to steer some nut towards killing Sarah Palin.

Not a single word is published about Palin by the MSM that they haven't thought long and hard on for maximum impact.

When they make a headline such as “Please make it stop”

they are hoping to make Palin the focus of desperate crazy people and maybe one will “Please make it stop” by killing her.

Otherwise, why the emotional appeal “Please”?

Why the definite end “make it stop”?

Why “it”?

“It” can be anything, like voices in a crazy persons head.

How about this for the headline:

“There should be no campaign coverage of Sarah Palin”

Ever since that Arizona woman got shot in the head the MSM has been playing this game against Palin. The MSM was not upset that a politician was shot. They were upset it wasn't palin but they are trying hard on fixing that.

So what. Libtards don't have a clue when it comes to knowing anything about the principles of Americanism of the Founding Fathers.
