The first attack happened around 8:25 p.m. Saturday when a man was attacked after parking his motor scooter near the Northwestern University campus in Streeterville.
The man had parked on the 300 block of East Chicago Avenue across the street from Wieboldt Hall when a group of 15 to 20 men, all approximately 16 to 20 years old and black, approached him, according to an alert from the university.
One of them threw a baseball at the victim’s face and knocked him to the ground, the alert said. Several others from the group punched and hit him several times. The victim tried to protect himself and fought back.

That's what these guys want, a job. They really want to work eight or nine honest hours a day at a wage they merit.

I’ve seen crime reports NOT mention race. If you want the public to be safe and to help with catching the criminal... Isn’t this basic identifying information important?
Isn’t the public safety more important than PC concerns??
If they caught me on a good day (for me), I could have taken care of 30 of them until I made my way to the trunk for my shotgun.

I’m thinking a 9 or 10 mm pistol with two high capacity magazines would have put a stop to this attack fairly quickly.
And that's because there is no work ethic in their families, and there hasn't been for generations (thanks to LBJ).
But I still stand by my original comment. There is no opportunity for folks in the inner cities. None. No good can come from this.
Any American kid with a high school diploma - or even a GED - should be able to find a good full-time job. And 30 years ago, he could. But those jobs are now all overseas.
So what should the country do? Just build more and more prisons? There is really only one thing to do, even if it's a long shot. Provide opportunities. Provide at least the chance for a good honest income. Bring back basic manufacturing.
If I'm wrong, what's your solution? You can choose to be silly and unrealistic, or you can give it some serious thought.
Yeah, that’s not a high crime area. It’s just off Michigan and a very commercial/tourist part of the city. They better get a handle on that real quick.

I saw some tough looking black dudes on motor bikes the other day. One had a leather jacket on with, I think, the Sons of Darkness written on the back. I see it occasionally but not too many black people seem interested in motor bikes. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a black woman on one; although, I’m sure they’re has to be a few out there.
Its too bad that when they knocked him to the ground he didn’t get up with a gun in his hand and take out a few of the flash mobsters...But I think with 15 to 20, open carry would only mean they got their hands on the gun before he could use it.....CC would be better. imho

Pawn stars had on one of the few original gatling guns tonight. The owner also let them shoot it...can be bought for 350,000 dollars. But it is a beautiful gun in pristine condition...
Too bad they don’t have concealed carry in Chicago. Sounds like the herd needs to be thinned.

I don’t have a solution and neither do you. You know why? Because the unions drove the jobs overseas and none of these flash mob fools have a diploma or a GED anyway and have NO inclination to actually work at an honest job. The jobs ain’t coming back just because you are wishing they will.
Wishing the jobs back clearly shows that you have no clue about the international market and the way the world works. So before you call me “silly and unrealistic” maybe you should sober up and get an education.
