Long-lost Sarah Palin surfaces in emails Once, there was a different Sarah Palin.
Politico ^ | June 11, 2011 | MOLLY BALL

Posted on 06/11/2011 6:02:30 PM PDT by Hojczyk

She was hands-on and averse to partisan politics. She championed openness in government and had normal relations with the media. She was a little starstruck by her interactions with national politicians but unafraid to do battle with the chief executives of the world’s largest oil companies

The emails from her governorship, released Friday, brought back the memory of a long-lost Palin: the popular, charismatic, competent woman of the people.

Far from being a knee-jerk partisan, she praises then-Sen. Barack Obama for his energy ideas — “pretty cool,” even though he is the “wrong candidate.” She derides the Republican establishment just weeks before being picked for the ticket, writing, “we need to remember the GOP, for the most part … especially the AK machine … has not had any support or assistance provided our administration so our time and efforts will continue to be spent on serving Alaskans, not party politics.”

A knee-jerk partisan? This is the best they can come up with?? After all the attacks on Palin, after all the email hype, this is IT?

What a bunch of pussies.

I think if Molly had been subjected to what Sarah and her family have been through with the state run commie “media”, she’d have done a lot of changing too. Nobody goes to war and comes back the same person. The “media” commie clowns declared war on the Palin family and have never let up.

What a loon you are! You didn’t even read what Sarah email actually said when she was praising Obama! It’s was when Obama was acting like a moderate on the campaign trail and talking up Alaska’s energy policies! Just go away!

The MFM are adrift, casting around for the right narrative to use to derail Palin.

They haven’t found it yet. This one is a pathetic and weak attempt. But they will try floating some other garbage tomorrow on the talking head shows.

It must be very frustrating to be a Democrat shill right now. Maybe they will get their talking points sorted out soon and get rid of this “message uncertainty” that has been making their lives an absolute hell for the last few days.

Why can’t their masters just give them some marching orders that they can follow, instead of forcing them to come up with something original, anyway? It’s not fair, I tell you, it’s just not fair. Somebody do something!

What you’re seeing here is a 180o now that the left realizes zero will be running against Perry.

Even Ashton Kutcher is defending her.

This propaganda ploy doesn’t fit in very well with all those earlier articles about how Sarah was such a horrible governor of Alaska.

Make up your mind, Politico.

The Alaska Climate Change Committee was to determine and study what effects climate change would have on Alaskans. One would be hiding their head in the sand to not think that climate change occurs, and to be considering what might be done depending on if it warms or cools. (Water storage, power, transportation, etc.) Her key sentence there is about how Alaska would be more affected by climate change than other places (most folks near the water, permafrost issues, glaciers, etc.)

Here is an article from CBS from 2009:

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/09/12/politics/animal/main4443795.shtml

PALIN’S GLOBAL-WARMING SKEPTICISM.... Since Sarah Palin was added to the Republican ticket, there have been multiple reports about her skepticism regarding the science behind global warming. Last night, during her ABC interview, Palin was pressed on her beliefs, and got a little defensive.

“Show me where I have ever said that there’s absolute proof that nothing that man has ever conducted or engaged in has had any effect or no effect on climate change. I have not said that,” Palin told Charlie Gibson.

Well, what has she said? The AP takes a closer look, and concludes Palin’s remarks to ABC are “at odds with her previous statements.”

[I]n the past Palin has said she does not believe global warming is caused by human activity. She has told the Internet news site Newsmax, “A changing environment will affect Alaska more than any other state, because of our location.... I’m not one, though, who would attribute it to being man-made.”In an interview with a Fairbanks newspaper within the last year, Palin said: “I’m not an Al Gore, doom-and-gloom environmentalist blaming the changes in our climate on human activity.” ABC cited the interview as being at odds with her statement.

I can appreciate Palin being embarrassed about her beliefs now; she’s obviously well outside the scientific mainstream. If I were her, in my first national television interview, I’d be tempted to distance myself from right-wing talking points, too.

But Palin’s record is Palin’s record, and the fact remains that she’s so far out there, she’s rejected the connection between global warming and human activity. Indeed, she’s done so more than once. This not only tells us something important about Palin’s understanding of public policy, it also tells us a great deal about how she perceives and considers evidence that runs counter to her ideology.

I read a snip of an email about Obama. She said something about an Illinois delegation visited. Some guy named Obama that they were pushing - like trying to build up a molehill. They were like the door-to-door religous people and wouldn’t get their foot out of the door. LOL!

If critics were hoping to see Palin revealed as a hypocrite, they’re out of luck. Her private statements are in line with her public ones

. so she changed but she didn't ?
MSM just got it stuck in their ear. There is no more vetting of Sarah Palin...it's over. She's free as a bird. She would be the cleanest of candidates.
