U.N. Agreement Should Have All Gun Owners Up In Arms

It may not come as surprising news to many of you that the United Nations doesn’t approve of our Second Amendment. Not one bit. And they very much hope to do something about it with help from some powerful American friends. Under the guise of a proposed global “Small Arms Treaty” premised to fight “terrorism”, “insurgency” and “international crime syndicates” you can be quite certain that an even more insidious threat is being targeted – our Constitutional right for law-abiding citizens to own and bear arms.

While the terms have yet to be made public, if passed by the U.N. and ratified by our Senate, it will almost certainly force the U.S. to:

1. Enact tougher licensing requirements, creating additional bureaucratic red tape for legal firearms ownership.

2. Confiscate and destroy all “unauthorized” civilian firearms (exempting those owned by our government of course).

3. Ban the trade, sale and private ownership of all semi-automatic weapons (any that have magazines even though they still operate in the same one trigger pull – one single “bang” manner as revolvers, a simple fact the ant-gun media never seem to grasp).

4. Create an international gun registry, clearly setting the stage for full-scale gun confiscation.

5. In short, overriding our national sovereignty, and in the process, providing license for the federal government to assert preemptive powers over state regulatory powers guaranteed by the Tenth Amendment in addition to our Second Amendment rights.

The local Oathkeeper group that I belong to is led by a patrol officer from a neighboring community. We had the martial law/gun confiscation discussion in one of our group meetings, and I asked him what they would do if Obama were to declare martial law - his reply: nothing. He said they would not follow any order to enforce martial law and they will not be confiscating anyone’s firearms. The Sheriff is on also board with this.

We’ve got a good group of active and retired LEO’s and Militaty in our unit. And several of them belong to the same range that I do, so we get some shoot time together.

Determination is paramount.

The Government may make examples of some, but what happens when an entire “confiscation team” is eradicated by a determined group of well armed citizens? That example, once widely disseminated, will encourage more patriots to stand up and fight for their rights.

I have lived a good life, I have no regrets, and if necessary I'm one of many prepared to fight for the freedoms of myself and my offspring.

Our forefathers sacrificed for us, and I feel we should be obliged to do the same.

This attitude is why I enlisted in the U.S. Army long ago.

“....the United Nations doesn’t approve of our Second Amendment.”

.
It is mind-boggling that this corrupt, anti-US organization dares to criticize the Constitution of their host country.

But it is even more incredible to see that no congress critter bothers to respond to this criticism.

Are they perhaps in agreement with the UN?

What happened in Canada is the Liberals (their version of a Neonazi party) passed a law requiring gun registration for everything.

They spent several billion dollars on the software for the registration system.

It ended up not working because nobody would cooperate with the gub'mnt.

There were a number of "extensions of time" and all that sort of nonsense. Eventually with a Tory win (their version of the Democrat party, there being no Republicans in that country), they kind of gave up the ghost on the registration idea.

I don't think it's completely dead but the government isn't spending any more money on it.

I imagine it'd be far worse in this country. Just find out where the computer techs live who are setting it up....... and you know the rest of the story.

A national registration system could be easily disabled in this country by very few people simply by making it an unpopular working environment.

“but if they use all the forces including the military in one coordinated raid, it would do a lot of damage.”

And when General Stupid goosesteps his Gestapo through Orange County and Huntington Beach, killing the families of Marines who refuse to give up their arms, how will General Stupid deal with the 1st Marine Division pouring out of Camp Pendleton?

Ya want my guns?
Come and TRY to get them.
I mean I was out shooting in the boat about 8 miles off Fort Pierce, Florida and a sudden rouge wave came and knocked ALL my guns and ammo overboard.
Yeah, that’s the ticket. A rouge wave.
Sorry, I do still have a ball bat.

If it were to cost me my life to resist such an attempt, so be it.

Amen brother, preach it.

I've already lived through an accident that should have killed me, so I know what laying on the ground bleeding out is like, the kids are grown and gone. I'm killing time waiting around and enjoying myself.

If they come to take them, I won't submit.

I'm sure I'm not the only one in circumstances like that.

The Warsaw uprising should be taught to all gun owners.

Oooooh, you’re dirty and you’re dangerous. You may have to smear that used toilet paper on our congress critters first before you show it to the Security Council.

Bunch of “furners” trying to interfere in our internal affairs and a bunch of spineless, kneepadded ‘Congressmen/women’ sitting there, with self-assumed perks and priviliges, doing and saying NOTHING!!!

They stink more than your ‘papier de toilette’.

While the terms have yet to be made public...
Dear God how does this man expect to inform others when he isn't even informed himself?

Under the guise of a proposed global “Small Arms Treaty”...

As you can see the name isn't "Small Arms Treaty". It's way more convoluted than that. The word "treaty" isn't even in it! So the plan is out and it has been made public for quite some time. If you look under "Small Arms Treaty" you'll never find out what's going on.

Programme of Action to Prevent, Combat and Eradicate the Illicit Trade in Small Arms and Light Weapons in All Its Aspects
1. We, the States participating in the United Nations Conference on the Illicit Trade in Small Arms and Light Weapons in All Its Aspects, having met in New York from 9 to 20 July 2001,...

As the U.N.’s Arms Trade Treaty Process Begins, U.N.’s “Programme of Action” on Small Arms Shows Its Dangers
In 2001, the United Nations created the “Programme of Action to Prevent, Combat, and Eradicate the Illicit Trade in Small Arms and Light Weapons in All Its Aspects” (PoA). The PoA is not a treaty. Rather, it is a mechanism for encouraging voluntary cooperation. The fourth biennial meeting on the PoA took place June 14–18, 2010.
Snip...The U.N. wants to turn the PoA into a binding treaty.

I tried to warn people...
...small arms, indeed, could well be described as “weapons of mass destruction”.

Be sure to bury all kinds of metals in your back yard. Give them lots of reason to start digging. Bury your weapons in the neighbors yard or on state property, in a park.

Stash a few in your heating ducts or under the house strapped up to water pipes. Or inside the bottom of a sofa, re-staple the dust cover back on. Down the side of a mattress in the guest bedroom. Under the attic insulation.

They are not going to do a full 100% search of your house so quit sweating it.

Excellent! Old brass casings give off a pretty good noise, can be laid in clusters of various profiles (and/or all over the place) and don't get in the way of plowing, etc. Objects can also sometimes be found at shallower depths, causing treasure hunters to miss objects at greater depths. Imagine digging up about 80 acres or so. ;-)
