Would an override be possible?

The ONLY reason to oppose voter ID, is to SUPPORT VOTER FRAUD!

"Yet we need an ID to get a job, cash a check, to buy cigarettes, alcohol (which I’m sure the dem voters do), open a bank account, and a lot of other things. But asking someone to show an ID to vote would “disinfranchise” them. The dems promote voter fraud - simple as that."

Republicans are in control but...we have RINOS. Nixon vetoed the redistricting map and that veto was overridden so..hopefully that will happen in this case.

You really have to wonder why the Republican leadership has not made this a big issue in the last dozen elections. I guess the real answer to that question is too unthinkable since only two reasons come quickly to mind, stupidity, or complicity.

“...disenfranchise voters... “

This is code speak that means “Stop Democrat voting fraud.”

If they can get some kind of ID to get food stamps, public housing, SSI, Medicaid..., they can show an ID for voting. If they work, they should already have an ID. The only “disenfranchised voters” are illegals who shouldn’t be voting, and military personnel who Democrats manage to exclude.

Actually it is code speak for allowing fraud. and you’re right on about the ID. It’s all a huge smoke screen just like “It’s for the children” BS. Make it sound like they are doing the ‘righteous’ thing.

How about the ‘disenfranchising’ of legal voters because their vote is
being negated by other’s illegal votes?

What crap. Fraud at the polls. Fraud in the White House.

Of course political machines have been voting dead peopleforever. I think Aaron Burr resorted to this in 1800 after he set up Tammany Hall. But the main thing is to organize down to local and get people to the polls. Next thing is to get observers into the polling places and make sure that the cheating is kept to a minimum. All this takes boots on the ground. Inevitably some precincts are as hard to police as a Taliban village.

The fraud, as in other states is extensive in the ‘Urban’ areas. St. Louis and Kansas City are problem areas. The remainder of the state, is less likely to experience the level of fraud that is present in those areas. You know...Holder’s peeps live in those areas.

Terrific analogy and so true.

I think the Republican "leadershipo" are just scared to death by the Democrats theats of race riots and the threat to call Republicans mean-spirited and other bad names.

Boehner and many others act like neutered servants of the empire instead of stand-up men fulfilling their Constitutional oaths.
