Soros and liberal groups seeking top election posts in battleground state
Washington Times ^ | June 23, 2011 | Chuck Neubauer

A small tax-exempt political group with ties to wealthy liberals like billionaire financier George Soros has quietly helped elect 11 reform-minded progressive Democrats as secretaries of state to oversee the election process in battleground states and keep Republican “political operatives from deciding who can vote and how those votes are counted.”

Known as the Secretary of State Project (SOSP), the organization was formed by liberal activists in 2006 to put Democrats in charge of state election offices, where key decisions often are made in close races on which ballots are counted and which are not.

The group’s website said it wants to stop Republicans from “manipulating” election results.

Why hasn’t the Republican Party election committee prepared a list of grievances in addition to repealing ObamaCare to be remedied as soon as they gain control, eg., a balanced budget amendment, rescinding Obama’s executive orders and regulations made under his administration, curbing tax funding for political organizations, lifting tax exemptions for 501(c)(3) organizations that violate exempt organization requirements, eliminating the 527’s unlimited political contributions and cracking down on billionaires and other corrupt organizations that attempt to corner the states’ attorney generals (SOSP) in order to control elections?

Why does the DOJ of either party or Congress allow billionaire control global freaks like George “Blofeld” Soros to interfere with and obstruct our freedom, our economy, our way of life? We need these questions answered immediately.

Five Rhinos in the Maine state senate voted against a bill requiring a voter to show a picture i.d. at the polling station. The bill was defeated (it had passed the state House and the governor said he would sign it).

I hope you posted their names on your Maine FreeRepublic Board at:
http://www.freerepublic.com/perl/profiles?location=67

Maine Freepers need to spread the word about those in the Maine Legislature who voted against legislation that would help stop voter fraud!

CF,

It’s not about elections so much as it’s about the Electoral College.

Yes I will. It will get done in the next few days.

Unfortunately, one of the Senators represents my district.
He is a friend who has helped a good number of kids in our Boy Scout troop including my own.

Soros' Secretary of State Project has been well known for several years. They had success with it in the elections of '06 and they used it to their advantage in '08, especially in Ohio (thousands of multiple registrations, including many without verifiable addresses) and Minnesota (Dem SOS supervised fraudulent Coleman-Franken recount).

But last year, the 'Rats probably lost some of their SOS positions because of the generational national trend toward the GOP. So why this article just now?

So why this article just now?

Last year Ruth Johnson actually used the Soros connection to the democrat candidate as a weapon and won.

I think this ad was pretty effective at showing the fraud and the soros connection.

Why is Soros’ Secretary of State Project surfacing now?

B/c vote-crazed Obama desperately needs illegals votes.

He has a huge underground budget to register illegals using multiple identities.

And if anyone complains, Secy’s of State handle voter irregularities and can give the scam a pass.

Wasn't aware of the SOS contest in Michigan. Thanks for the video. Also saw the ‘Rats opposing video promoting their candidate's support for early voting and same-day registration. Seems as if they had a higher profile campaign for SOS than the usual.

Yes, indeed, we did reclaim some of those SoS positions with the 2010 elections (and in some cases, the Governors appoint them, so in those states that flipped party control, we gained those as well). We currently have 29 where there is a “defined” office.

As of now we have the following (June 2011):
AL (elected)
AK (the Lt Governor holds the responsibilities)
AR (captured for the first time in 2010 since Reconstruction)
AZ (elected)
CO (captured from the Dems in 2010)
FL (app’t by Governor)
GA (elected)
ID (elected)
IN (elected)
IA (captured from the Dems in 2010)
KS (captured from the Dems in 2010)
LA (elected)
ME (elected by legislature, captured by GOP in 2010)
MI (elected)
MS (elected)
NE (elected)
NJ (the Lt Governor holds this job)
NM (elected - captured in 2010 for first time since 1928)
ND (elected)
OH (elected, captured from Sorosbot in 2010)
OK (elected)
PA (app’t by Governor)
SC (elected)
SD (elected)
TN (elected by legislature)
TX (app’t by Governor)
VA (app’t by Governor)
WA (elected)
WY (elected)

The Dems have:
CA (elected)
CT (elected)
DE (elected)
IL (elected)
KY (election up this year, the former GOP occupant resigned, now held by Dem appointee)
MD (app’t by Governor)
MA (elected)
MN (elected - a key Sorosbot here)
MO (elected - Sorosbot ?)
MT (elected - another Sorosbot ?)
NV (elected - Sorosbot ?)
NH (elected by legislature, one Dem has held this office since 1976, but he is respected by both parties)
NY (app’t by Governor)
NC (elected - Sorosbot ?)
OR (elected)
RI (elected)
VT (elected)
WV (elected - Sorosbot ?)
WI (elected, Doug LaFollette - probably the most odious rodent SoS in the country currently, narrowly survived reelection in 2010)

Great research! Knowledge of this Soros funded plan gives ammo to opponents of the elected SOS’s. Don’t know how it would effect those who are appointed but I guess if the governor has to answer yes or no to knowledge of Soros influence, that may make the governor think twice about certain potential appointments.

They have Hawaii LT Governor too.

Interesting that both Alaska and Hawaii gave SOS responsibilities to the Lieutenant Governor.

Excellent research as always, Field. Great job. It's scary how many of the current SOS’s in America are Soros puppets. In addition to whether they're elected or appointed, another thing I'd like to know is exactly how powerful each of their offices are. I imagine it varies widely from state to state.

For example, Illinois is one of only two states (wikipedia states the other is Michigan) that puts the SOS office in charge of motor vehicles, effectly making Secretary of State Jesse White the transportation secretary as well (he's also the State Librarian, custodian of the Illinois State Capitol, and maintains the Illinois State Capitol Police force. I doubt this is common for SOS’s in other states. I would probably rank our SOS second only to the Governor in power, although under the state constitution the Attorney General is next in line after the Governor and (worthless) Lt. Governor's office. Some of the SOS’s may be elected statewide officials in their own right, but still figureheads in terms of actual power.

The only good thing for us that the current RAT Secretary of State has gone senile and is so low-key he's been invisible lately.

Nice take, BB.

Why is Soros' Secretary of State Project surfacing now? B/c vote-crazed Oabam desperately needs illegals votes. He has a huge underground budget to register illegals using multiple identities. And if anyone complains, Secy's of State in his pocket can give the scam a pass.

PASS THE WORD Conservatives, the TTP, Republicans, etc, should blanket the area with info WRT Soros' takeover of their state's Secy of State office.....and all the reasons why Soros is doing this. That oughta put a crimp in Ohaha/Soros' plans. Decent citizens will be appalled at Soros' nefarious Secretary of State Project.

As one FReeper posted: The Tea Party should mobilize and publicize the face, address, and CV of the Sec of State. TTP should show up at their office to remind them that TTP knows theey are on the take and that TTP is watching.

=============================================

I have been advising FReepers to launch voter fraud initiatives in their states.

ROOT OUT VOTER FRAUD Send letters out to everyone on the voter rolls demanding proof of citizenship, residence etc---those who do not reply are stricken from the rolls.

Ideally this should be done by the Secy of State but Soros guys won't lift a finger.

Yet, with enough publicity about voter fraud---even a crooked Secy of State has to do the right thing.
